I’m just happy they are in the area, I only had soup today, not a lot of Crab Meat but tasty. I’ll add more on the Crabs soon.

The crabs were delicious! We got XL crabs and they were heavy and very sweet! The jumbo shrimp were delicious as well. The service was great! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The hush puppies are definitely worth ordering! I would say the only thing missing was the option of beer or wine. They are still waiting for their liquor license. We are excited to have a good crab restaurant in Olney!

We had carry out tonight – this is our first visit to this new restaurant in Olney. We both ordered double crab cake platters. We were disappointed that crab cakes could not be ordered broiled – they only serve fried. But I must say that I was surprised that they were still very good – I “suspect” these were pan fried – not dropped in the deep fryer as I figured they would. I think So pan fried is good in my book. They had good flavor, were meaty with very very little filler. Coleslaw tasted homemade and sweet potato fries were great. I think a lot of negative reviews others have left is at least partly due to it being a new start up – give them time to adjust. It’s hard to please Marylanders when it comes to crabs. A lot is expected. I will visit again and try the hard shell crabs and see how they are. But if the owner reads this, the only thing I would suggest is offer a “broiled” option on the crab cakes.

It is a farely small scale restaurant, more if a fast food types.
Food quality is below average, though the prices are comparable to other sit down fancy restaurants.
Soups don’t taste fresh.
Creamy crab soup had lumps of corn starch. Served in disposable dishes.
Place smells bad, like sewer.
Fried shrimp seemed like it was made from frozen shrimp. Again served in paper plates.
They would do much better calling it a fast food restaurant and reduce prices by 50%.
There are no wait staff. One person does it all.
Ambiance is very basic.
This was one visit worth to get it out of your system. Never again.

Did not have a good experience with our first time here. The vibe is weird, smells bad, and the tables were empty but full of old condiments. The service wasn’t terrible but the food was. The sodas were flat and the appetizer was served cold. Once we got the re-warmed appetizer, the entree came out immediately after. For $19 you get an imitation crab cake with old fries, dry, bitter, coleslaw and a five star sized bill once it arrives. No surprise this place was empty at lunch time.

I understand this is a new restaurant that opened this week. I’m hoping the owners read this review because it’s meant to be constructive.
First of all you never boil snow crab legs. You steam them. They were SO salty and rubbery. The crabmeat was almost disintegrated in the shell once I managed to peel it open. They sure didn’t crack.
Understand that Old Bay is a staple in Maryland crab houses. Period. It should be on the table along with the ketchup and mustard you already had. We had to ask twice for it and I heard 3 other tables ask for it also. Hint hint?
Another thing….I understand you wanted to open but it would have been better to wait until you can offer beer and were completely ready to accommodate your customers.. Instead the server said the bar was closed “still waiting on liquor license.” You can’t eat crabs without a cold beer. It wasn’t just us either I heard the table behind us complaining about not being able to order a beer.
Lastly, since no beer, we asked for iced tea. Our server said she was sorry but they were out of iced tea still waiting on a shipment. What?!?!!! Who is out of tea? We didn’t say that to her but talked about how easy it would be to go to Safeway and get some in the meantime.
The owner was also rude and clearly has no clue about how to run a crab house. Unfortunately I’m rating this place a one We won’t be back. We paid a lot of money for some pretty awful seafood. This place better get it together or they will be closed soon.

Overall excellent! They are open until 9pm on Sunday nights, which in Olney is a rarity. It’s very useful for late night takeout. The service is always friendly and nice, as it is a family run restaurant. They have other stuff besides seafood, so picky eaters should be happy with the normal fries, tenders, burgers, etc. They do serve alcohol and beer, and have pretty much the same bar from the old Olney Tavern. Overall, it’s a very relaxing, easy going place to get a good meal and have a drink or two. It’s also family friendly, judging by the crowds. Local independent restaurants like this deserve and earn our support!

Great Service! I went there 4 times already including carryout. I always order extra large crabs and they are big like jumbo size. The cream of crab soup is tasty. The soft shell crab and oyster are delicious and size is big. My family and I really like this place.

My family loves this place… Very picky about our seafood and crabs and the quality is great! They have hefty, meaty crabs and my husband had the very low filler crab cake! Poor reviews were early on and it takes time to get a restaurant going. Must try this place if you love good seafood!!!
