Beard Brothers BBQ (BBBBQ?) is a true gem hidden in quaint little Amherst. They are a counter service BBQ joint that are co-located with an amazing boutique pub called The Local Goat company. The food is crafted with an obvious passion that shines through at all levels. The food is fresh and made to order. You don’t need to fret and wonder if your BBQ has been languishing away in a steam pan, it comes out fresh and full of flavor. Such quality does take time, you can expect a 30+ minutes wait during busy times. It’s worth it. Grab a craft cocktail or local beer at the bar and sit watch the Tomorrow River flow on by. The prices are in line or slightly below what you would expect to pay for quality BBQ, I certainly found it to be a good value. Just like the Terminator, I’ll be back!

I have been to Beard Bros BBQ twice now. Both times have been wonderful, great attentive service. Wonderful food. Food comes out quickly and hot- great flavor. The bar has a large variety of wines, beers, NA options. Highly recommend!

A wonder of Northern Wisconsin. Food and sauces are all made by the brothers as well as smoked by them. If you are even within a trip from a tank full, go there. Superb melt in your mouth Brisket and Corn bread and some of the best poutine since Canada.

Came here on a whim but I’m glad I did. Ordered a half rack of ribs, cheese curds, and smoked cheese smothered potatoes. The ribs were some of the best I’ve had, falling off the bone and broiled with a hit of my sauce of choice until caramelized.
Cheese curds were great too, and even more amazing dubbed in the white and mustard sauces.
The potatoes were good, but a bit greasy from the cheese they loaded on top. I cannot fault them for that though, because the potatoes were true to the description on the menu. I’m glad I tried them, but I probably wouldn’t order them again.
Food is ordered at the counter and delivered to your table. Staff come around to check on how things are going but it’s not a full waitress/waiter experience if that’s what you’re after.
Overall incredibly happy with the experience, and if I come back through will likely order here again

The food is amazing! The ribs were juicy and fall off the bone. The BBB – bacon, brisket & burger had great flavor and the pork rind nachos (we didn’t eat) looked amazing and was a hug portion! A great spot to check out and all the beer and liquor are local.
