Lovely coffee shop on the shore of Crystal lake in the beautiful town of Beulah. We arrived at 8am on Sunday, just as they opened the shop. Coffee was waiting and we were grateful. The server was cheery and the cook was on it.
We purchased breakfast sandwiches and the biscuits and gravy. The food was delicious, but the biscuits were cold, which is the only reason for the four star review.
Unsay Major is a great stop and worth it. Have a great day.

Surprisingly good little coffee and bistro in a small Michigan town. We really enjoyed their Heavenly Hash Breakfast Skillet. They have a wide menu of coffee drinks, too.

The atmosphere and the food was definitely unique and extremely tasty. The coffee bar is definitely top-notch as well. I highly recommend Ursa Major Bistro & Coffee. This is definitely a big gem and a little town.

My husband were on vacation to Beaula to see the fall leaves in Michigan in October. We had breakfast here one morning. The food was delicious! I wish we could have tried some of the other items on the menu. Especially the sandwichs on the Star Sandwich Wars.

We vacation up here every couple years. I discovered this place this time. Absolutely amazing food !! And they get my order right each time. Everyone has a great attitude and willing to help and answer silly questions when I asked what had dairy in it. The price is also AMAZING! Compared to across the street. $25 two sandwiches vs two sandwiches $48. Overall better sandwiches and food! Will be back in couple years! Thank you to the staff who did fantastic work!

BEST OATMEAL EVER!!! My husband said his entire breakfast was amazing including the most delicious hashbrowns he has ever had and rye toast that was so perfect he didn’t even want jelly (like he normally does). The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. We sat at a window seat and had a beautiful view of the lake. If we didn’t live over 7 hours away, we would be regulars in this adorable cafe!

Cafe and coffee shop catering to a blend of tourists and locals. Breakfast was good, but the coffee was great. Portion sizes are pretty big. I appreciate that they open early so I don’t need to wait around to get my day going (and to avoid the crowds, as this place will get busy during the season.)
On a side note, due to the controversy in the other reviews concerning the biscuits and gravy, I decided to give them a try. Personally, I liked them, but they are in no way traditional Southern biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are soft and somewhat cake-like. The gravy is difficult to describe, but it is not a traditional white gravy; it’s somewhat thinner with not much in terms of breakfast sausage flavor.

Chicken avocado wrap was delicious! Good chips. Great Belgian waffle. Staff was friendly and food came quick. Would come back for sure.
