A quiet Indian restaurant with wife varieties of Indian dishes. Wish I could try all of them. The interior is designed like a palace and looks beautiful. I would change the chair to much more comfortable ones. Also, tables are very close to each other. They do have buffet options for lunch. And the service is awesome. They do have a bar area too. Food is good and I would recommend this play if you like indian food. Prices are bit expensive than normal compared to the portion among other Indian restaurants in New Orleans. Overall 7.5/10.

The food was good in taste, however it could be kept a bit warmer in the chafing dishes during buffet service. The spice/heat could be a bit more also. The restaurant has a modern yet high end look. Versace art is on the tables. Some additional traditional Indian decor might benefit and improve the ambiance. Background music was more like classical rather than Punjabi. Traditional Punjabi music and videos might bring more appeal. The men’s restroom needs to be repaired/remodeled. The gray glue bandage on the toilet is rather concerning. The experience was good but there is room to improve. The waiter customer service was good and friendly.

Clean and well ventilated spot with great amount of seating available. The owners were nice and packaged my order securely so the food wouldn’t leak. The lamb korma was tender and savory. I made my spice level mild but theres definitely an option to make it spicier if you want it to of course. They included a side of rice to enjoy it too. The garlic naan is also pretty standard. It’s thin and has a good texture to it that isn’t too chewy compared to some places. Would come back again to try out other menu items

I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for great taste and good ambiance.
We tried their pakora curry, biryani, samosa chat and gulab jammun and everything was delicious.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had at any restaurant. I have tried Indian food all over the country, and this has to be the best I have had so far.
The food was phenomenal, and everything we tried was so flavorful and fresh. The atmosphere was so nice and the staff were so kind. We came in for the buffet, which had ended, but the manager convinced us to stay. It was certainly the best decision to make.

Pure Punjabi Dhaba Bliss — A Foodie’s Dream

If you’re craving real-deal Punjabi dhaba food that hits all the right notes, this place absolutely delivers. Bold flavors, generous portions, and that unmistakable ghar-jaisa comfort make it a total win.

The choley bhatoore are outstanding — spicy, tangy choley with perfectly puffed, fluffy bhatoore that are crisp outside and soft inside. Exactly how they should be. The pakode come out hot and crunchy, seasoned just right, making them dangerously addictive.

The paneer dishes deserve special praise — rich, well-spiced, and cooked to perfection, with paneer that’s soft and fresh, soaking up every bit of that buttery masala. And don’t skip the samosas: crisp, golden shells packed with a flavorful filling that tastes like it came straight from a roadside dhaba in Punjab.

Everything feels authentic, unapologetically indulgent, and made with heart.kudos to the host Rekha❤️ she made us feel home. No frills, no shortcuts — just solid Punjabi comfort food done right. If you’re a foodie who appreciates bold spices, hearty textures, and true North Indian flavors, this dhaba is a must-visit. ️ highly recommended

The food was exceptional, the three of us ate from the buffet, I tried foods I normally wouldn’t have and was pleasantly surprised. I am a very picky eater and found that everything I tried was great, aromatic and flavor forward. The food was mild spice. We tried the mango lassi and fresh lime soda, both were flavorful and we would order them again. The staff were welcoming. It honestly felt like I was being invited into someone’s home for lunch. 10/10 would eat here again.

When you first walk in you don’t realize it’s a buffet in the automatically point you in the direction of the buffet and you think that you’re being pointed to any table. I came in and sat down thinking that we was going to get a menu but they said oh you just serve yourself. It’s all the same items as on the menu even though it looks barring some more like the parts have been hit they’re putting a little bit at a time out which makes a lot of sense. After serving and eating the food I found the food to be very delicious and tasty and fresh. I like the fact that they do have serrano peppers for us that do like pepper where most don’t include this at all as an option. Greatly appreciated all in all clean environment calm and peaceful comfortable seating. Beware floors or very slippery like Wax and prices are average $15 $20 per head eating at the buffet. All in all find the price could be a little cheaper for serving yourself other than that good experience.

After hearing outstanding recommendations from friends about Punjabi Dhaba – Kenner we decided to have lunch yesterday.
There were many positive aspects to this experience beginning with an extremely attractive and upscale decor coupled with very comfortable seating.
We were greeted very warmly by staff and decided on the buffet to experience as many distinct aspects of their food as possible in one sitting.
We tasted outstanding versions of typical northern Indian food both vegetarian and meat based. I found the sauces exceptional, displaying a wide array of Indian spices that were very much in harmony. I found the chicken (3 versions) unusually succulent even without the specific sauces. This is a real compliment to their cooking technique.

We were also invited to taste some “street food” items. The staff was eager to explain the food and demonstrate how to handle/eat it … all remarkably interesting. My daughter sampled the mango juice and said it was the best she had tasted.

The service was very helpful and hospitable without being intrusive throughout the meal. Overall, we would highly recommend Punjabi!
