10/25/25 ️ According to Google, this restaurant is open. Upon arrival with my home girl , it was utterly dark, I mean complete DARKNESS! I was beyond dumbfounded , what a waste of gas ⛽️ and time ⏰. There’s nothing much on the menu just finger food and horrible Rasta pasta
Took almost a hour to get food just for pasta to be cold and the jerk chicken was subpar that came with it waste of $28.
Tried to finish the meal just couldn’t.
The drinks are good but the small little plastic cups give tacky. But if you want hookah that comes out right away but wait time for food was hefty mind you there was only maybe 11 people dining at the time. Definitely wouldn’t go back

This is the worst dining experience ever! We were two couples. My pasta was ice cold. My wife’s food took 30 minutes, and the other couple waited a whopping 1 hour and 30 minutes! Meanwhile, latecomers were served first. the bathrooms are not clean. This “Jamaican” restaurant is a total sham. The only saving grace? The atmosphere. ♀️ Everything else? Only reason it’s even getting 2 star because the DJ was great but other than that it’s another business that’s going down hill & it actually have alot of potential. Great atmosphere, nice decor , nice music and right by the water but I feel like the owners don’t care enough to read reviews on here . All the 1 star reviews is on point , service is absolutely horrible. Place was dead and server took 20 mins to come up to us to ask us what we’d like to drink. Tacos & Rasta pasta took over 45 mins to come out and it was mid. Food was super pricey as well 15$ for 2 tacos is wild . Last time I had horrible service like this was when I was back home in a 3rd world country , that’s how slow service was . Get new servers with experience, better cook and this will be a much better place to come and hang out at on weekends for sure.

I arrived to this restaurant at 8:15pm and I received my drinks after 45 minutes of waiting just for it to be wrong. Nonetheless, my food came out 15 minutes after they fixed my drink order. Unfortunately, the staff members were not well trained with time management and the importance of communication. Later on, they apologized and let us know that our appetizer which was the “Oxtail Pizza” takes a while to prepare. Shortly after we finished our main course which was very MID; the “Oxtail Pizza” turned out to be a frozen box pizza with 5 pieces of oxtail spread around as a “topping” on the WARM not HOT pizza.

My aunts, my mother and my siblings went today to this restaurant at around 7. We were seated immediately but it took half an hour to get the drinks, around a hour and a half to get the food (and it wasn’t worth the wait) and then plenty of time to get the check too. We actually saw the cook come outside for a drink then itch himself while walking back into the kitchen. 3 tables got up and left in the midst of us waiting for our food.

Let me tell you something. Lisa and Pete will make sure you have the absolute birthday. Somehow someway they brought out moves I haven’t pulled out in years. The food! They take their time because it is mouth watering. The drinks…. Well the first time I didn’t remember… but the second and third. Let’s just say it’s a good time all the time.

First time experience at Blue Island. We were a group of 5 and we all had a fantastic time! We love Caribbean cuisine and it was a nice bonus that we could enjoy Caribbean food in an elevated atmosphere, meaning this is a waterfront location so there is seating overlooking the water and the area is very live! This makes the property very unique as there are not many Caribbean restaurants in the area with a full on sit down dining experience and none that I know of overlooking the water. There is also inside dining which is where we sat with our group because the place was already packed by early evening. We were hoping to get seating outside but overall, had a nice dinner inside where there was a pianist that night, (intimate lo key, relaxing setting inside, and full on PARTY atmosphere outside, with great music!!!) the blue rum punch is everything! Will definitely return and arrive earlier for seating outside. hope in the future as they grow, they will extend the menu.

A resort in our yards. Which is a nice change for the Mile.
This will be my new go to spot (and I am a picky person when it comes to where I am spending my time and money for leisure).
Every time I am here I am never disappointed, whether it’s a quick Margarita with the girls after work or a bite to eat to social scene. MUSIC is on fire: BEAUTIFUL interior, and the most impressive part is that the staff is genuine, food delicious, drinks are generous and you will even see the owner doing it all from scrubbing to coming to entertaining, top notch class.
