We decided to try this taqueria and were we impressed!! The food was beyond our expectations. It reminded me of my mom’s cooking being that she was also from Nuevo León. The flour and corn tortillas were exceptional and authentically home made!! The menudo and the huevos rancheros were so delicious and the portions were perfect (a hefty amount). They even serve you with the best chile piquin! I highly recommend this taqueria. The owner made us feel very welcomed!!! 1000/10!!!!

Food was very good I ordered breakfast food and it was a good amount for. The down fall is customer service. We drove 1 hour to get there and I noticed they are only friendly and welcoming to their current customers I guess from the neighborhood. The atmosphere was not good I got a bad vibe like from people that are current customers starring you down like who are you. It’s very small you are so close to the table next to you. I would definitely not be coming back. The menu has no prices nothing has a price and it’s embarrassing having to ask the waitress while she’s rushing and is all over the place. You spend around $19 bucks per person or so. We ordered our food not knowing the cost assuming it would be around $7-8 bucks for eggs but it was $14 bucks not including coffee or your drink. They gave me cold milk in a cup for my coffee but I saw all the other tables they gave them hot milk?? They didn’t offer me any options. Hard to recommend since the vibe is not good and I could not enjoy my food.

Humble but mighty place.
The style of food here is more akin to the legendary “Fonda”. A humble Mexican community kitchen-like type of restaurant that is alive and well in smaller towns and small cities across Mexico. The food here is phenomenal, delicious and cheap, as true Mexican food should be. Be advised that they use the Nuevo Leon Style, very interesting and delicious but DIFFERENT in a good way, it is not your topical fajita place. Not a fancy place and you could easily blame them for not following protocol but that is ok. As you order you could see a mom back there making your plate of food and it will arrive at your table once mom finishes it. Does not take long, tortillas are handmade both flour and corn. I highly recommend the explosive taco. They’re signature dish is to die for, Cuajitos Estilo Cadereyta.
Give it a shot, is worth it.
