My family used to come here all the time a few years ago and things have changed. I’m not sure if they got a new cook or reduced the quality of their ingredients, maybe it’s both. The food today had no seasoning. Even the salsa was watery and didn’t have cilantro, onion, or any substance to it. 2/3 of us had something wrong with our food because either the kitchen or the waitress didn’t listen. The service wasn’t as good as it used to be either, unfortunately. This place used to have a few great waitresses. Altogether, Jose’s has gone downhill and I hope they’ll make a comeback, but I’m not going to waste my money by checking to see if they decide to serve good food and have hard working servers again.

Just finished the barria tacos Mexican, Wow they were fantastic and so much carnitas in the corn tortillas I could not wrap them around all of it.
The salsa Verde was spicy but very flavorful.
My wife got the shrimp tacos, she could not eat all of them.
We definitely will be back here!!

I have to be honest. The food was pretty bad. Even the salsa and cheese dip tasted odd. I feel a bad because the servers were nice. The vibe was good. My husband also reported his food as mediocre rather than bad. But the shrimp wasn’t deveined. The beans were the only thing with a lot of flavor and they tasted odd. I can’t even describe the flavor. Portions are small but that’s alright because the pricing is also low. I wouldn’t return.

This is my first time visiting Jose’s. I am not typically a Mexican food fan, but I had a craving to try out something from the normal. Anyways, it’s a nice place and not too overly crowded for me.
I definitely liked the chips and salsa and had an happy hour frozen margarita (which was really good) and tried out a burrito with rice and beans. I found it great and it definitely fulfilled my taste for Mexican food. It wasn’t too pricey despite the notes of increasing the price due to food costs, either.
I would like to come back and bring some friends 🙂

Always looking for great people and food.. This place was recommended, so I gave it a shot.. Greeted by English speaking waiter.. They have a small bar area tucked away, that’s where I sat.. Atmosphere was nice and cheap cold beer was even better.. Servings were smaller than most places.. I actually was glad.. I’m all about good taste, not a lot of slop.. I ordered the combo, burrito and a tamale with beans and rice… I ordered the green sauce instead of the red.. Be careful, It was spicy hot! Delicious!! Food was really good and so very glad someone recommended it to me.. They have $3. Margaritas on certain days.. I’ll be back for more..

We’ve eaten there at least once a month for almost four years. Food and service are excellent. They have an incredible menu with a wide variety of meals at very reasonable prices.

The chips and salsa you get are great, the salsa isn’t too spicy and not too bland. The food comes out extremely hot and ready to eat and the other foods are great. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

It’s a quaint and dated atmosphere most weekdays, enjoyable. The menu is big, food & bar is tasty and very cheap. Mr. Jose is typically on the grill, which makes it special.
