One downside that we noted was that the floors under booth table had trash and the table tops felt sticky from older varnish?
“why did it take us so long to dine in at this wonderful place?” Please don’t walk, RUN to
TR Bar & Grill! My husband and I stopped in for dinner this evening and basically it’s our new favorite spot. Interior is spacious and aesthetically pleasing with a bar and casual dining booths and tables. We were quickly greeted by Peyton with menus then shortly after our server, Jessica – who gave us excellent service for our visit. You could certainly tell she enjoys her job and making the patrons have a really nice dining experience. She spent time chatting us up about the delicious food and about the establishment. They’ve been in business 6 years! But the real standout star is the food – absolutely wonderful. Made fresh and curated with care and simply delicious. I can be hard to please with my dining out food experiences but Twisted Roots did the thing!
You must order the asparagus appetizer (local fresh vegetables are used) and they are delicious! I ordered the classic burger and it was the best burger I’ve had out in years!
And the menu pricing was impressive and affordable – not at all inflated like many places that took place after the pandemic.
I’m telling you they are doing all the things right and we took notice.
Great experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Heard that every Sunday they serve fresh homemade dishes from 11-2!
We will be back for more!
I never do reviews and we do not know the owners or any of the staff!
Had to share.
Buffet on Sunday is very popular. Lots of home cooked style food. The place was packed with locals, the cooks were busy keeping the Buffet full.
I had a great time there. Lots of good conversation with the regulars, and Rhonda’s friend, . So much fun I stayed for a very long time.
I highly recommend this place.
Tell help me Rhonda Mean Frankie G said Hi.
We were seated immediately as there was ample seating available. My husband and son ordered Coke and Mr. Pibb, but they were out of both.
We order the alligator bites and mozzarella stick as appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were standard, nothing special, but teenage son enjoyed them. However, the alligator bites tasted like they came straight from the freezer and were very salty.
I ordered the Twisted Roots Burger with wing chips as my entree. The burger patty seemed prepackaged rather than fresh, was greasy, and lacked any flavor. The wing chips were over-seasoned with seasoning salt.
My husband order the Club Sandwich and fries as his entree. The sandwich was a good size and he received ample amount of fires, but again it was nothing special.
Beyond the food, the cleanliness was concerning. The restroom was dirty and in disrepair. The entire restaurant had very low lighting, and from what I could see, it could benefit from a thorough deep cleaning and some maintenance.
It was a disappointing experience and I would not recommend Twisted Roots Bar and Grill.
Update…since our self-imposed carb restricted diet started several months ago, no more fries. Her new choice on this visit was the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla. Generous helping of chicken. Half for tomorrow’s lunch. Their Salmon has always been the bomb. Perfectly seasoned with Collards and Broccoli. Good service.
Update…they’ve updated their indoor decor. I had a Chef Salad and my wife had another huge Grilled Chicken Quesadilla.
