This wonderful family owned diner just reopened under new owners. We had an amazing breakfast, really comfortable booth seat and fantastic service! One of the owners names is Evan and he helped us pick out such a great breakfast.
Homemade corn beef hash and you must try their sausage it is excellent. They also serve lunch/dinner and I have to say their lobster bisque soup is exquisite!
Please try this very unique Diner you’ll be hooked for life! Thank you Evan!!

Nothing hits quite like a diner after a freezing run around the Manasquan Reservoir, and Roadside Diner absolutely delivered. We came in cold, hungry, and fully deserving of carbs—and it did not disappoint.
I ordered the Roadside breakfast bowl and it was exactly what I needed: perfectly seasoned potatoes, sausage, bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheese. Seriously delicious and deeply satisfying.
Service was prompt, attentive, and genuinely friendly. This is 100% going on my list of spots whenever I’m down this way. Would happily brave another freezing run for this meal!

The service was so fast and the food was great! The conscience of the location is a huge plus. It’s easy to miss as you drive by but make no mistake, it’s a great little spot to stop! Portions are huge so you might have some to take home. I had the pork steak and eggs special and was not disappointed. Although I did ask for the eggs over medium and they were barely over easy. No big deal it happens. We will surely be back.

I love diners and this place is everything you could ever want in a diner. The service and food were both top notch. The portions were generous, my coffee never went empty, and it was all just so good. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

The Roadside Diner in Wall is an original Silk City Diner, and stepping inside feels like traveling back to the 1950s. The shiny chrome exterior, classic red stools, and cozy booths give it a true vintage charm that’s hard to find today. The service was excellent — quick, friendly, and genuine. I ordered a club sandwich, and it was fantastic: fresh, stacked high, and perfectly toasted. The portions were generous, and the prices were very cost-effective, making it a great value for the quality and amount of food you get. Overall, the Roadside Diner is a perfect mix of nostalgia, great service, and delicious, affordable food — a true New Jersey classic worth visiting.

So cute! Service, food, and cleanliness were all great. They appear to take credit card now, formerly cash only. The waitress said they re-opened under new ownership in July 2025, so anyone who went years ago with a bad experience, please give it another chance. I recommend going early on the weekends. We arrived just before 8am on Sunday and there were a couple people already there, and by time we left at 8:40, it was packed with people waiting to get in. The max capacity is 40 customers, so I personally don’t recommend this for large groups. I heard there were a few large groups coming from the hockey arena that were upset about the seating, but it’s literally an old train car. Pancakes were fluffy, bacon was crisp without being burnt, and eggs cooked perfectly. Would recommend, and will return.

The atmosphere and the Silk City built diner car are perfect, and the food my wife and I ordered (chili cheese dogs and a BLT) were great! We’ll definitely be back soon!

What a fantastic revival. The new owners have turned this place into something truly special. Warm, nostalgic, and full of heart. It feels like a classic roadside diner in the best possible way, refreshed and cared for with real intention.
The food absolutely delivers. The Belly Buster was perfect. Generous, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you order something bold and comforting.
You can feel the pride behind this place, from the atmosphere to the food coming out of the kitchen. If you love diners with character and genuinely good food, this is a must stop. I’ll definitely be back.

Classic, genuine diner experience. Affordable food, flowing coffee, and friendly staff. Plus, the atmosphere can’t be beat. This old rail car has been totally transformed into a cozy breakfast spot. The vibe is immaculate. If you’re in the area or driving through, you won’t regret a meal here.
