Location is often busy and they appear to be short staffed or not completely trained, but what prompted me to write a review is the shiesty business practices they are now performing.
I ordered online as usual and instead of allowing the order be late, they preprint the orders to show completed on the app, thus allowing their location through put to look on schedule, except the food is not done and not even close. I waited about 20 minutes AFTER the order was marked as complete. Virtually every other patron with an online order also had this experience.
Instead of focusing on increasing their performance, they resorted to lying to corporate and their customers to appear efficient.
There also appeared to be a rather large language barrier which may be a negative for some, but I personally won’t fault someone for trying to make a living.

I don’t expect employees at Taco Bell to be nice, nor do I think they should need to pretend to be happy all the time, but the girl who is always at the front counter here is so nice. Definitely the nicest employee I’ve ever encountered at a fast food restaurant. The other center city Taco Bell workers make a point to make sure you know they hate you. I’ll go out of my way to go to this location instead.

I don’t really leave reviews but wow, rude employers. Girl at register was okay. Can use some more training on how to talk to customers. There was a young girl there crying when i walked in, she was sweet.
Seems like they were bullying her. Their were also three employees just at the register talking about what I assume the other girl & then some random stuff. Not sure if they were off the clock but idk it was really weird.
My crunch wrap didn’t even have meat in it. It was all lettuce and tortilla lol i can see that this new Taco Bell will go down hill really fast.

How do you guys send out an order, missing a deluxe box, two orders in a row. Who is overseeing this shift? Are you guys just making it up on the fly and handing dashers orders without checking that the bag/package is complete. It’s literally more than half the order missing that you’ve collecting money for and sent out the door. Twice in a matter of days! I bet you’d be better if you had to issue the refund instead of DD. This place sucks. Get it together.

I was initially excited that a new taco bell opened in the neighborhood, but was quickly disappointed by the experience. The whole staff seem extremely poorly trained, and only one staff member seemed fluent in English. The cashier repeatedly needed help with translation and instructions on how to do her job. The food and service were slow despite the store being largely empty, and below the quality I’ve come to expect from other locations. Further, there card reader seemed to malfunction at one of the kiosks, and they were clueless in offering solutions.

I visited Taco Bell at 1614 Chestnut St and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I came in and placed my order at the front, but the manager working the register had an unnecessary attitude from the start. When I requested to pay for my meal, the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional.
After being handed only a receipt, I asked about my drink and was told to wait because he was doing something on the POS terminal. I understand that systems can take time, but customer service should still be handled with courtesy and clear communication.
If you’re going to assist a customer, handle the interaction from start to finish in a professional manner. A better attitude and improved service would make a big difference at this location.l

Brand new Taco Bell in center city! Excited for it. They’re still in the opening phase and not all beverages are available yet. They’re working out kinks but service and staff has been amazing. It’s two stories plenty of seating.

I’ve been here several times and every single visit all the employees are super friendly and nice. It’s great to have a reliable fast food place in the city that always gets your order correct. Even when they’re super busy, they manage to get order out with a smile. It’s honestly one of the most pleasant fast food places I’ve ever been to.

Ordered food through the app, paid extra for a frozen drink and paid and aditional upcharge for a large. Walk in and none of their drinks machines are installed including the fountain drinks. They opened before they were ready to open and their solution to this was a single 12oz can of soda. No price adjustment. It’s owned by the same people that own the terrible location east of city hall so im not too surprised.

The Taco Bell is quite good, they have those order tablets, so you can choose / pick what you want without going to the counter. The staff is friendly and the orders come out pretty quickly. The place stays clean (hopefully it stays that way). I’ll update if anything changes. So far, all is good.
