This is absolutely the place I’m eating next time I’m in Rochester for lunch time. The servers (owners?) were super friendly and offered us to sample many of their options, gave us a free bbq skewer since they had been out a bit, and overall made this a great experience. I got the 2 combo with Liempo (pork) and chicken curry, and half white rice half teriyaki rice. The Liempo and bbq skewer were AMAZING. The chicken curry was a bit spicy for my liking, but still very good. The portion sizes are HUGE, and especially for the great price (1-3 entrees plus a ton of rice is less than $15 and will easily be enough for a second meal later). This felt like being in an authentic local restaurant in the Philippines, and the food reflected it. Will absolutely be back here.

This place is simply amazing and the owner is super nice! Their pork skewers are so good and the pancit…. You have to come early or they will run out. The Pancit is really good too! This place is cafeteria style so be ready to point at what you want! I recommend everything pork here!

Filipino restaurant in the food court, with an authentic flavor and tasty foods. Way better than some of the Filipino restaurants I usually find back home in Las Vegas. The staff and owner were super friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re craving delicious Filipino food, this place is a must-try! Highly recommend!

I had heard about The Taste of Philippines and was excited to try it. It was scrumptious! I had the noodles, adobo and the ground beef with carrots and potatoes. You will enjoy the food! The 2 ladies were so sweet and energetic. They let me try some samples. I got the portion with 2 sides, which comes with a free drink. The serving was generous for a good price, plus leftovers for dinner. I plan to go back and highly recommend this place to others!

5 stars for service. Run by the friendliest ladies who let me, who had never had Philippino food before try everything first. The pork dishes were too fatty, but that’s just me. You can’t really argue with the portion sizes either. I’d love to bring friends here next time.

The Chicken Adobo wasn’t the best. Didn’t get very much. The rice noodles had cabbage and carrots looked good but was lacking in taste.

I have lived in Rochester for 24 years and today was the first time I’ve ever uttered the words “Let’s go get Filipino food” that isn’t my own or my family’s house. When I finally got here and tasted the food, it brought back the joys and memories of my family’s cooking and all of the flavor that my people have spent centuries refining, perfecting, and inheriting. Now we have a place in Rochester where people can enjoy such flavorful and robust food (More specifically Ilocano and Kapampangan dishes!)

Let’s start with the Pork Adobo: (Soy-Vinegar based Braised Pork Belly served over Rice). This Adobo is rich in umami, the pork belly melts in your mouth as it releases the flavor it stores from the meat. I can tell that this Adobo has been slow cooked and marinated for at least 6-8 hours. This is the absolute gem of Filipino cooking/flavor. This is the dish that most Filipinos serve people who’ve never had Filipino food- so if you’re one of those people- DEFINITELY get this dish!
I also had the Kalderetang Kambing (Tomato-based Lamb Stew over Rice). This is absolutely flavorful. The flavor from the Lamb that has been cooking for several hours until it can fall off the bone- mixed with aromatics and tomato sauce was delightful to taste. This is the type of dish you serve only on special occasions- and they delivered this dish masterfully! The flavor is deep (savory, hearty, subtle tomato)
It also had the Vegetarian Munggo (Mung bean stew/soup- over rice). Although I would’ve preferred Munggo with Pork/Chicharron, this was still a very hearty, warm, and comforting dish. It was still savory (maybe used Vegetable stock vs. pork/chicken stock). This is a perfect dish to get for those who have special dietary needs! (It’s also the comfort food of many Filipinos on a cold day). Munggo is equivalent to Middle-Eastern Lentil dishes- but a different bean!
I also got to try their Biko (Cassava Cake; Rice-Flour-based cake with Coconut and grated cassava topped with caramelized sugar). This was a perfect Cassava cake- not too sweet, and the balance of the coconut-cassava flavors were wonderful to taste.
I wish they would open longer or even on the weekends, but totally understand the amount of time prepping these delicious dishes! After all, most of the menu items they serve take several hours to make!!! This is definitely a place I’d love to come back to over and over again- and to try their other dishes!

I got the 3-entree combo and got so much food for only <$15! It was more than enough to feed two people! I wish I took a picture because it was really generous . I could get rice and noodles, three big portions of meat, and any drink all in one combo. Plus they’re really friendly and let you try samples of the actual entrees ☺️.
