Inspired by a chef who began butchering meats at just 11 years old in Puebla, Mexico. Our meats are cut in house, chorizo is made by hand, cured pork chop and slow cooked birria. Whether you are looking for Chilaquiles or Avocado Toast, a Poblano Burger or Burrito Loco, Pork Chop, Quesabirrias, or Tostadas, we have the breakfast, lunch, and dinner for you. We take pride in preserving the traditional Mexican cuisine and culture. From our butchered meats, to our organic coffee beans imported from the indigenous community from Oaxaca, Mexico. Our Chef will be educating, engaging, and entertaining our clients for special brunch and dinner events. We strongly encourage you to make a reservation by phone, walk-ins are welcome. Wow what a find. We started at a local coffee shop, but the pancakes had tree nuts in them. Found this place in a search and saw great reviews. The reviews don’t lie, we loved everything about this place. The owner called their bakery to check on our nut allergy in their amazing Mexican desert bread. Really can’t say enough nice things about this place. Loved my bloody Mary too. There’s also a sports simulator on the bar side. That was fun since we were out here for a soccer tournament. I only wish we lived closer.

Been here a few times and the service is super great. It is a bit strange to be next to the golf bar along with the shared menu. I did like the burrito along with the tacos, but the tacos were very oily. The mural on the walls is very amazing and the artist was one of the people working there and told us the story.

I highly recommend this place to anyone! I dined in with my partner and everything we ordered was absolutely mouthwatering and extremely flavorful!
We dined in for brunch and enjoyed Avocado Toast and an Asada Quesadilla as appetizers. The asada in the quesadilla was tender and seasoned perfectly and was served with a really yummy chipotle mayo. We ordered the Burrito Loco and Chilaquiles for our entrees and they were both fantastic, flavorful, and filling. We finished with the Churros Con Cajeta for dessert that were served with vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect way to round out the meal and the portion size was very generous.
All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone had a smile on their face the entire time we were there! The booth we sat in was also very comfortable and spacious and there is a beautiful hand-painted mural you can enjoy while dining.
If you’re in the Waunakee area or visiting, you should definitely check them out! I can’t wait to go back! 🙂

Grabbed breakfast here and so glad we did The food was fantastic!! Bloodies were pretty good. Not my Fav, but good. We did the breakfast burrito and the pablano omlett and both were spot on Can’t wait till next time

Chips and authentic house made salsa arrived with the menus. This was the best salsa I had ever tasted. When our plates arrived, we were delighted by the aroma and beautiful plating. The meats were tender, flavors well mended, seasonings perfection. Everything was made from scratch. I had never had Mexican food that tasted so good.
The owner/chef Pablo came to our table to check on how we liked everything. He is clearly passionate about cooking and creating the best possible culinary experience. I recommend Locos without any hesitation. We had a wonderful dining experience with our family.
My parents have also enjoyed Locos and like to dine there often.
