There was effort but everything was subpar. The wings tasted old, the ranch didn’t taste like it was supposed to. I shouldn’t have gotten the “sweet” sauce on my lamb chops, it may have been better without it. The waitress was unorganized, if there are “changes” to the menu or anything, figure it out before patrons arrive at the restaurant or allow someone else who’s aware of the “changes” to serve or place orders. The bar wasn’t stocked with bourbon so if you’re looking for that, it’s not there.

New place that opened a few months ago. Try out their live music on Thursdays and Sundays! I accidently found them on a Sunday and wasn’t prepared for brunch, but they’re still good about cooking other things on their menu. Conch soup to start. Ribs, Mac n cheese, and home made beans. All good with a slight Jamaican sweetness that is at a reasonable price. Hasn’t really been discovered yet! So enjoy while it’s not crazy. To go at the front, 3x eating areas for the desired loudness with the live music offerings.

I attended the Valentines Day Celebration. Beautiful venue, staff friendly, but very unorganized and or just not prepared.
•Late opening doors
•The Saxophonist Gary Palmer had to set up the sound himself before he could start his set. Not a good look. I have been following Mr. Gary Palmer for years and he is all about 150% business and ALWAYS on time. That was unacceptable!!!
•Music playlist need attention, that is not the time or atmosphere to hear advertisements in between songs. If no DJ…create a nice playlist that is appropriate for each event.
•Food not ready on time and came out in increments, meaning we had to continue to return to buffet as the different trays would come out. A few folk in my party only had 2 meats at the beginning because allergic to shell seafood. I felt really bad. Ex: grits and eggs late( that’s not how we eat breakfast or any meal). Going back & forth to the buffet table did not make us feel like we were at a nice buffet brunch. The continuous trips to the buffet table was because we were trying to complete at least a 3 course meal that never happened.
Everything that listed on the menu was not served.
•Food taste good, but 90% of the food was warm to cold.
However, thanks to Mr. Palmer that handled this event/situation very professional…helped made our Valentines brunch event a sort of nice one. To be honest the venue itself and Mr. Palmer and a group of his followers saved the day.

Carnival Ave
New restaurant and speakeasy. The speakeasy is still under development but I was assured it’s coming. The restaurant has had a good menu and the wings and fries were tasty. Had a great conversation with the chef and he made the wings just right.
The bartender Alisha was knowledgeable and took great care of us.
Also had hookah which was on point.
Live DJ playing all our favorites afro beats soca and dancehall.
They have ladies night karaoke reggae night and much more.

Was their last night for their first super bowl party and had an amazing experience the staff was fast friendly and very accommodated, food was great and came out quicker than I
expected. Would highly recommend this place to all for events, or just a get away with friends and family.

Went for a party it was nice until some lady approached me and told me I couldn’t come with a drink that I purchased from inside and she was serious. I explained to her that I stepped out to answer a phone call and she told me that they didn’t have the red cups inside so now Im looking at her like I must be on game show Im being punked not only did I but the drink from the bar and they put it in a red cup I was confused and then she showed me the sign that on the front door saying NO DRINKS BEYOND THIS DOOR WOW….. and I walked right passed her without knowing I couldn’t go outside to answer a call Damn and I wanted to have my party there looks like that won’t happen. The food was excellent btw .

Oxtail pasta taste like trash . It was water down hardly a taste to it no veggies and onions. Just TASTELESS for the 30$. ALSO, RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AFTER BEING OVER CHARGED ON MY CARD. THEY JUST TOOK THEIR OWN 9/10 TIP. THEY SAID I SHOULD BE REFUNDED from di STOLEN TIP BY Monday…We’ll see!! Don’t ever have to worry about me supporting again they HANG up in ur face when you call!!! Just nasty ppl. I DO NOT SEE THIS PLACE LASTING LONG at all. I wouldn’t eat their unless ur Jamaican maybe their only 4 dey folks. Through my plate in the TRASH Oxtail taste not cleaned with lime or vinegar no taste. What a waste of money

I went to this establishment for a concert and the show was spectacular. However, the service there from the actual staff at the restaurant was mediocre at best. I was there for 2 hours and not a single server came to my table to offer service. I’ve been to many speakeasys and I don’t agree that this falls in that category. It’s a restaurant and that is all. Nothing speakeasy about it so if your looking for that feel, look elsewhere.
