Cute retro diner with a smile. Food was amazing for the cost, and as a local I’ll definitely be back. Probably for one of their famous buffets or my husband loves the burgers.

The atmosphere here is tremendous ! So absolutely cute, like a trip back in time. The menu is vast and has typical diner food, and the prices are good. Our waitress was super nice. However, literally everyone else there besides our waitress were the most unpleasant people I’ve ever met running a hometown style diner. I would expect them to be friendly and welcoming – not so . The cashier particularly was snappy and discourteous . The food was just ok . But here is my real problem: I wanted a “gut buster “ ( biscuits & gravy with egg, cheese and hasbrowns) and I did not want the gravy over the eggs. I was told twice WE DON’T ALTER the entrees for anyone !! So I had to order it ala carte to get what I wanted and pay much more. When I checked out, I asked why and was told that “the cook would mess it up if people asked for special things”!! Like, WHAT ? If the cook is that incompetent then hire one that isn’t! I ran a similar diner of my own for 12 years and I would never have denied a customer what they want just because the cook is incompetent.

Diner 23 is one of our favorite places to eat as a family! It has such fun 50s diner vibes, and the staff is always so kind and welcoming. We’ve been bringing our daughter here since she was little, and every visit has been nothing but positive. The food is always delicious, but it’s the family atmosphere that makes this place so special.

Only 1 server and they was kind of busy. Once food was dropped off, we was not checked on to see if needed refills or anything. Food was delicious. We both got the gutbuster and you get alot of food. Will be back and not upset over the server. Although it would’ve been nice to have been checked on at least once ro see how food was and if we needed a refills

We’ve been past this restaurant several times but this was the first time we’ve had the opportunity to stop. First off, the appearance is very classic, love that! The interior reflects that as well, without being overboard on signs and decor. Our waitress, Lisa, was very friendly and attentive. It was nice to see the staff greeted diners like old friends. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and a side of hashbrowns. Hubby got eggs, bacon, toast & hashbrowns. Food was plenty and delicious! Everything had a great taste and cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back!

We were greeted promptly by are waitress named ” Shona. “
All her suggestions of food was right on point, she brought are food out hot and ready.
While dinning we met a wonderful woman (local customer) during are visit (can’t recall her name) but this beautiful lady did said I could take her picture. . And Shona was happy to join in the photo.
The Diner 23 is a welcoming, clean building, happy, friendly on the inside and outside.
Hubby told me that his Jalapeno smashburge was delicious!
And my Ruben burger hit the spot ~~~~ y u m.
We decided the we are going to make the drive for a return visit.

My husband and I ate here on our trip to Hocking Hills. I had an ham and cheese omelets and he had the western omelets. Very tasty meal for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was fun. Loved all of the old pictures! Staff were nice and kind! Love the small town feel!

I absolutely love this place! Forst time visiting, and everything was excellent. The waffle was big and very good. The eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection. Even the sausage gravy was delicious! Our server was so friendly, even joking atound with us. The inside of the diner was a 50s motif, and the music playing in the background was light and easy to listen to. This place was so good, and I will definitely try to get back here.
