Fantastic cafe and great location in university city. We have visited twice and loved both experiences. It can get busy in the later hours so I would suggest coming early if possible. The breakfast fried rice is amazing and is even gluten free

We ordered drip coffee (okay) and the salted caramel latte — a must-try.
The chocolate croissant wasn’t fresh.
Sunshine grilled cheese was decent (3/5).
Grilled chicken bowl was very bland; the chicken seemed boiled rather than grilled or roasted — not recommended.
Overall, a below-average experience.

We are very grateful to Colleen’s Café for baking and assembling our wedding welcome box cookies! We shared a few inspiration photos, and they absolutely nailed it — designing the most adorable custom cookies that were not only beautiful, but also delicious!

They packed a set of 4 cookies in an 8×8 window box, tied them with ribbon, and delivered them to our guests’ hotels with care. It was such a thoughtful touch that our guests loved!

Thank you for transforming our ideas into something even more perfect than we imagined!

Food was amazing – breakfast.

Almond milk latte was one of my favorite I’ve ever tasted. Good coffee and nice AM.

I just went and this place is awesome. The staff is extremely pleasant and timely. The pro bowl is delicious and the coffee the barista made was over the top. If you’re around it is a must to go here. I don’t usually do usually do this but I tipped 50% because the lovely ladies there made my day

This was my first time here, so maybe I don’t understand their system, but I put in an online order and had an estimated wait time of 30 minutes, showed up about 35 minutes after the order and realized there was no designated area for pick up orders. So I waited in line for about 5 minutes and got my food, but they had not started on my drink order so then had to wait another 15 minutes for them to make the drinks. Food was decent but cold by the time I could eat it and the drinks were good, but not having the drinks ready or a designated pick up spot for ordering ahead kind of defeats the purpose of ordering ahead in the first place. If I could go back in time, I would’ve just ordered there as opposed to on my phone because I think my wait would’ve been less than the total of almost an hour that I had this time.

10/10 breakfast, 10/10 cookies & the macrons go to 11! As far as brunch experiences go, this was in my top 5 for STL. They tic all the boxes, bottomless coffee, heavy and light options, pastries that vary in style and flavor, open seating and great staff to take care of you.

I tried the southwest skillet, and it’s a pretty hearty meal. The flavor from the egg yolks and chorizo that blends with the roasted potatoes to create a really enjoyable dish.

The macrons are also a fantastic choice if you still have room after trying a cookie. Their flavors are on point, and the texture was perfection.

Parking can be tough on weekends, so don’t give up if it’s hard to find a spot quickly. It’s worth the wait.

We just happened to be staying across the street, needed breakfast, and this place smelled incredible. It didn’t disappoint, either. We ended up returning every morning of our stay. The food was homemade and delicious. Great pastries, too!
