We traveled about 40 miles to try this place after hearing good things, but our experience was very disappointing. The cashier (an older gentleman) was extremely rude. The restaurant closes at 9:30 PM and we arrived around 8:50 PM, yet he refused to seat us and asked us to leave. We then asked if we could place a to-go order, but he still tried to make us leave, saying he didn’t have change to give back (around $22). It felt like he was intentionally trying to avoid making a sale and pushing customers away. It’s hard to understand how a business can succeed if customers who come excited because of good word of mouth are treated this way. If this continues, the same word of mouth will quickly turn negative, so management should consider improving customer service or training employees better so customers actually want to return.

Pista House is our go-to spot for dinner after shopping. This unassuming restaurant serves exceptionally delicious food! We’re huge fans of the Amaravathi Lamb Biryani and our kids love the Chicken 65.
We usually visit on Saturdays, when it’s not too busy. While the dine-in area is manageable, the takeout orders are always in high demand!
What impresses us:
– Eco-friendly green cutlery reduces water waste
– Convenient lid-only packaging for leftovers
– Top-notch customer service
– Clean and well-maintained facilities, including restrooms

Would not recommend this place. Our order was completely wrong — we received goat dum biryani instead of the Thalapakatti goat biryani we specifically ordered. The meat was burnt, and the biryani tasted stale and old. We also ordered chicken dum biryani, which was clearly not freshly made and seemed reheated and boxed up. The food was so unappetizing that we ended up throwing it away. This level of quality and ignorance is unacceptable.

How can people even support such place who serves food that is cooked somewhere else and served in the restaurant.
I understand Biryani Lovers like to go there coz of original Pista House in Hyderabad India. But seriously just because of that you have to eat here too.
Anything and everything we ordered didn’t have any taste.
We ordered:
Lamb Kebab: just by looking at it you could tell they microwaved then.
Chetinad Chicken curry: was ok. Not too bad not too good. But it was reheated too.
Chicken Lollipops: they were also premade and were just fried in hot oil just before serving
Bezawada Chicken Biriyani: this was the best thing in our whole order.
Garlic Naan: OMG… they pathetic. Frozen naans over heated and were tasing stale. We ordered 2 naans and I could not even have 1 bite.
ALL THE FOOD WE ORDERED WAS BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PERSON AT THE CASH COUNTER. So imagine, they best food was like this.
I would never go back to this place.

We were 5 friends who picked up 5 biryanis from Pista House, and this was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. The food tasted old, frozen, and reheated, not fresh at all.
After eating, several of us felt sick, and two of us ended up with chest pain and vomiting. It was honestly scary and completely unacceptable.
I even called the front desk, and the person told me the manager would call back — but no one ever called. Zero responsibility, zero concern.
For a restaurant with this reputation, this was shocking. We will never order from here again, and we want others to be careful. Food safety and basic customer service are clearly not their priority.

Wish I could give it a zero. Visited Pista House on a Sunday with many expectation but we were disappointed. The naans were cold &store brought. They weren’t prepared freshly, just reheated in an oven. Tried Apollo fish, didn’t taste like fish. It was just drowned in sauce. Regret spending money here

Biriyani Factory is an Indian restaurant in Artesia, CA. We came to this restaurant on March 15, 2018. We ordered Hyderabadi Goat Dum Biriyani, Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biriyani, and Chicken 65. At that time, they had few internal problems in the kitchen. So, we waited more than 2 hours to get our food!!! The food was okay but it was nothing special. The price was high. Their service was simply terrible on that day.

Very bad service and food. Quality and quantity is very poor. We order naan, samosa, Chicken biryani and goat curry. None of them were made fresh. They serve the store bought naan for which they charge $1.99. Total waste of money. I don’t recommend this place at all. This is one of the iconic Hyderabadi Haleem and biryani place I have missed the Haleem since they were out of it when I arrived but they shocked me with a different dish which is usually not available in Hyderabad’s menu which is called “chapala pulsu” which is fish curry it was amazing experience to have an Andhra dish in a Hyderabadi place.
Let me make a statement the Hyderabadi chicken biryani I had here is exactly like it is in Pista house Hyderabad no difference at all without any doubt this was my best experience in western America having a taste of Hyderabad. They have their spices coming directly from Pista house Hyderabad!!! The service given by nikith the server he is an amazing gem of a person very polite and hardworking thank you so much for your hospitality!!! See you again.
