Never fails to amaze me how good this chicken is ! Delicious and very fulfilling from the chicken sando to the honcho to the tenders and wings I love it all! I usually stick with a medium tried hot once and had me sweating through my meal lmao. But if you can handle the heat it’s delicious. They’re pretty quick with their service it’s nice to be able to go into the bar and have a quick drink while you eat. Also really enjoy when they have their lemonades to pair with their food a must try. Good to order ahead if you don’t want to have to wait it can get busy at dinner time but it’s always worth the wait for me

This chicken is perfect. Do not toy with the medium unless you scoff at the hottest of Thai food. It is one of the only times I’ve failed to finish my food, needless to say i was so impressed by the flavor that i had to go back for the mild. Them being next to Off the Rails makes it all the better, pair it with their Stout beer.

I eat spicy food all the time and their extra hot chicken sandwich was legitimately the spiciest thing I’ve ever had. Even if you like spicy food I’d start out with the next level down. My whole life was messed up from that sandwich but big respect for the heat, it was pretty tasty too even though I couldn’t finish it.

The chicken strip combo looked good. But I wish I’d have been warned that the “medium” was SO hot that it would be inedible. ️ Even by my hot food/sauce devouring husband. Waaay too hot for a “medium”. So bummed because we were so hungry and it looked good. Disappointed.

We bought the 2 slider combo today. We got one medium heat and a mild heat combo. We could really get flavor out of the sliders because of the spiciness of the tenders but the fries were really good. Customer service was excellent 10/10.

Always good to support local businesses. Always better when it is really good! This is a great place to visit for a fresh, hot chicken sandwich. The fries(my weakness) are super fresh and fluffy. They add their own spices to both and it is truely worth it! A must try for sure!!!

The best chicken sandwich in Bakersfield by far! The 2 slider combo with fries is a lot of food so you can split it with someone. The Xtra hot slider is great and the fries are awesome as well. Highly recommend you try this place out.

I wanted to upload a picture of the sliders but I took one bite and couldn’t stop GREAT spice on the mild. The flavors of the food complemented each other perfectly. The fries are sweet and I feel it helps keep your cool. Going up in spice level next time!! 15/10 would recommend

The food is really nasty. They use something that makes the chicken really chewy and nasty. The man with the beard is really straight to the point and really unhelpful. i am not sure if he is the owner as he was alone but he is really pushy and tries to get you out of there. Every other employee ive encountered here has a conversation with me ask me how my day was. Nope, not this dude. If he isnt the owner he should be fired or talked to immediately!!!! The brewery is the only good thing about coming to this horrible food truck. as someone said this place is really consistent at being inconsistent. Ever since they left some gas station on coffee road they have gone extremely downhill. They used to treat people with smiles and enthusiasm. now it looks like hatred in their face towards you and their food most certainly reflects that. Im surprised they are opening a restaurant. i wonder if thatll be another 10 year or less business. I hope they figure it out.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I have to be honest—this was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a long time.

I had always heard great things about Bucky’s, so when my friend suggested it for dinner, I was genuinely excited. But that excitement quickly faded. The food truck was tucked away in an alley, surrounded by trash and dirt—not exactly the most inviting setting, but I was willing to overlook it for good food.

After ordering, we waited an agonizing 20-25 minutes for our food. I was expecting something fresh and worth the wait, but when I got home and opened the bag, the disappointment hit hard. The food looked great, but the taste told a completely different story.

I started with the fries—soggy, bland, and utterly lifeless. Not a single trace of seasoning. Then came the chicken. I ordered both a tender and a sandwich, and let me tell you, I wish I hadn’t. The chicken was drenched in oil, yet somehow still painfully dry and completely flavorless. I kept taking bites, hoping it would get better, but it never did.

What makes this worse? We had passed Angry Chicks and Popeyes—both solid choices—to support a small business. And unfortunately, that turned out to be a huge mistake. I wanted to love this place, but it failed at every level.

Bucky’s, I don’t know what happened, but this was a disaster. I won’t be coming back.
