Let’s start with parking. It’s not too bad, but I recommend parking your car in the back to avoid any potential issues with the nearby liquor store contacting the local authorities. As I entered the cafe, I was warmly greeted by a gentleman named Ailton. He was so friendly and even gave me the freedom to choose my seating since I arrived at 5pm. On other occasions, when it was a bit later and busier, seating options were a little more limited. The interior of Brockton Cafe is sleek and modern, creating a cool and relaxed atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you can’t miss the stage, which adds a touch of excitement. Ailton also shared with me that they have Karaoke nights every Thursday and feature local Cape Verdean artists with live bands on the weekends. This creates an exuberant and vibrant atmosphere that I absolutely loved. Oh, and did I mention that I got to watch one of the performances? They were amazing!
Now, let’s dive into the nitty-gritty. You’re probably hungry and curious about the menu. Well, “Brockton Cafe Bar & Grill” has you covered with their thoughtful and unique bar food and cocktail options. You can choose to browse the physical menu book or simply scan the QR code provided. The menu is divided into six sections: “Shareables,” “Dessert,” “Cocktails,” “Wine by the Bottle,” “Wine by the Glass,” “Bottle Beers,” and “Beverages.” The variety is impressive, and I recommend having fun with mixing and matching different meals. The Head Chef, Margarita, is a true culinary artist who knows how to satisfy your taste buds. Personally, I’m still trying to overcome my addiction to their mouth-watering “Buffalo Wings.” These seven wings are coated in a deliciously tangy buffalo sauce and served with a homemade blue cheese or ranch dressing. And let’s not forget about the unique presentation of four thinly sliced rondelle cut carrots, almost resembling potato chips. It’s these little details that make the dining experience at “Brockton Cafe Bar & Grill” truly special.
During my visit, I also had the opportunity to try the “Roasted Lamb Chops.” Three perfectly cooked lamb rib chops were beautifully presented on a bed of arugula, with a hint of steak sauce underneath. The side dish consisted of fingerling potatoes served on top of a delightful sauce. While the lamb chops were a bit dry for my liking, they were seasoned to perfection. I’m willing to give them another try in the future. I must mention Louisa, the bartender, who crafted a fantastic Brockton Mule and fulfilled my other drink requests flawlessly. And of course, as a fan of mint, I couldn’t resist ordering a few mojitos. You can never go wrong with a classic mojito!
To wrap up my extensive review, I have to say that I will definitely be going back to “Brockton Cafe Bar & Grill.” I rate it a solid 3.8 out of 5. The atmosphere, friendly staff, unique menu options, and live entertainment make it a must-visit spot in Brockton. Don’t miss out on this gem!
wings are good but if you pay attention, you are being charged more than the price on the menu. be careful here. they used to have fun open mic nights but it seems like they got greedy and they dont do it anymore.
