I had the combination jerk pork and oxtail plate with peas and rice, cabbage and a side of plantains. My friend had the brown stewed chicken with white rice. The beef patties and cocoa bread were on point as well. A little spicy, but good. Nice portions, nice staff. This is good authentic Jamaican food! I will return to Fredericksburg to visit friends. This is a stop on my list!

This restaurant was quite budget-friendly and delicious, with food that was truly addictive. My top choices were the jerk chicken, oxtails, macaroni cheese, and the way he prepared his collard greens, which had a subtle buttery taste along with carrots, celery, and onions. When I say it was incredibly addictive, I mean it; the jerk chicken was substantial, and he served me a generous portion, which is why I decided to give him an extra $20 tip before I left. Thank you very much!

This is my first time getting food from this establishment for myself and my family. We ordered uber eats to have it delivered and I’m soo upset! The food was DISGUSTING, the rice tasted sour! The oxtails were light in color (not authentic oxtails!) meat was not cooked completely, chewy and gamy and everything was cold!. I’m sooooo UPSET, I saw wonderful ratings and wanted to give it a try and I’m utterly disappointed. Will never eat at this place again! The food smells! Smells as if it’s been sitting out for weeks. The cow foot soup had chicken in it and no beef or actual cow foot in it! And couldn’t taste the macaroni, no flavor! So disappointed, never again! DISGUSTING! COMPLETE SLOP!

The food was immaculate. I didn’t put my fork down once I started eating it. I didn’t even think to take a picture. Y’all need to try it. It’s beyond amazing down to the fat that was in there, buttery, smooth, and full of flavor, the meat beyond tender, and the rice was perfection. The salt content of everything on my plate was 100% perfect. This food spot is definitely a staple in Fayetteville. It gives you the feeling of home-cooked food, yet it’s restaurant-worthy.

I’ve been wanting to try Taste of Trelawny since they relocated to Hope Mills. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was good. The music was a little loud for a restaurant.
We ordered medium Jerk Chicken with cabbage, rice and peas, medium Chicken foot soup, side of Mac and cheese, collard greens and bread pudding.
The Jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage, and Mac and cheese and soup were very good. So was the bread pudding.
Unfortunately the collards were inedible, it was extremely salty, had to throw it out.
You can get the jerk chicken mild or hot (spicy), If you don’t like spicy then I recommend you get the mild.
The rice and peas was very flavorful, you could tell it was cooked with coconut milk, reminded me of being home in Jamaica.
I will definitely go back

Yesterday was the second time that I had the pleasure of enjoying the food here. Every single bite is full of authentic flavor. The Chef represents the culinary culture of Trelawny parish awesomely. A must try restaurant if you are in the area!

Listen, I think I got the curry chicken first time. It was good. Came back for it this weekend, did a combo with shrimp, white rice and greens. Added the Mac n cheese, omgee. Everything was good but that Mac n cheese reminded me of my grandma’s before dementia. Pineapple cake, amazing! I’m only sad I didn’t make it Before the rum cake sold out. I highly recommend
