We stopped here after a concert at Thunder Valley Casino and it did not disappoint! The ambience in the outdoor patio area was lovely, especially due to the electric fire pit. We got a skinny margarita and beer to start, along with the Ahi Tuna Tostada appetizer, for the main course, we got the fajitas and mole chicken poblano. Everything came out promptly and was absolutely delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Highly recommend this spot!

After a day of traveling, I was hungry and started looking for nearby restaurants. I came across La Popular in Roseville. The reviews were mixed, so I wasn’t sure what to expect—but I’m really glad I gave it a shot.
The staff were super attentive. I asked for recommendations and went with the ribeye tacos, which were absolutely delicious. I even mentioned to one of the waitresses that the low reviews didn’t seem fair, considering how great the experience was.

First time had lunch here and it was delicious! Excellent food and atmosphere and also nice place and location. The only think i will ask while we where sitting down have someone come and greed us faster and bring some to drink! had to wait couple extra minutes but no big deal. A+

The food was extremely good, I’ve never had ribeye tacos and let me tell you, they were so good. I was disappointed on the portion size of the plate however the taste made up for the amount of food they gave you. I would definitely recommend checking out this place, the customer service was amazing everyone seemed very nice and welcoming.

My wife and young boy come here regularly. The Ribeye tacos are to die for, along with the fantastic cocktails. Taco Tuesday is an almost weekly ordeal for us. The gas fire and heat lamps are in the outside food area and make it very comfortable. I wanted to give a special thanks to the Manager Alexus on Sunday evening. The tacos are always dead on delicious, but on this night, there was a lot of gristle. She was very professional and made us a few more that were terrific. We had great management and food service on this visit. Well, every visit has been very nice! Thanks for the great food and atmosphere!

If you’re deciding what’s for dinner, go to La Popular!!! There’s also non-alcoholic options like aqua fresca flights for non drinkers, which is always a plus for me.

Atmosphere and perhaps happy hour with friends seem to be the only reason to visit. Wish I could report the food was worth the over-price.

Ceviche tasted like maybe bottled lime juice was used? Didn’t taste like fresh squeezed. The avocado slices on top were so under ripe that had to cut with a knife.
I think it probably depends on your experience with authentic Mexican cuisine and the size of your pocketbook.
They do have a nice outdoor patio area so that’s a plus.

Went here for lunch for the first time and my wife and I loved it! Food was well prepared, looked good and was delicious. Guacamole and salsas were all excellent with their fantastic tortilla chips.

Our server was very friendly and attentive, even when it became busy. We sat in front of the fireplace outside under the heaters and it was warm for a cold winter night. The food was great and came out fast, and the agua fresca was delicious. That was our first visit and we were very pleased with the food and service.
