We love going to Browns, one of our favorite places. Great food, staff and the location is very pretty. We just recently went and it wasn’t very busy because of the weather. The band was setting up. We just thought we’d have a snack and go home.

Beautiful location and repurposing of a industrial building. Wide selection of brews with flights. Food at the higher end of pub fare. Outside seating is primo if the weather is favorable.

A great find on our bridge tour this week. While investigating the old trolley bridge that Mother Nature is reclaiming, the old factory stack caught my attention and the rest became lunch history. We got two of the incredible oatmeal stout pulled pork sammiches. Jeez, Louise! Incredible. And I had to have a new t-shirt sporting their logo. And I grabbed a four pack of their Cherry Razz. Wicked good Summer beer. Great food, great beer, great people, great location. Give ’em your business.

“Where Beer Meets the Best Reuben”
If you’re looking for great food, cold beer, and a laid-back atmosphere, this is the spot. We kicked things off with steamers (a perfect start) and split the Reuben for lunch—it’s hands-down the best Reuben in the area, never disappoints. The beer list has something for everyone, and while it can get a little noisy depending on events, it’s all part of the lively vibe. Definitely worth the trip!

We have eaten at Browns many times, it’s a fun restaurant and the food used to be decent. However, the last few times we have been there the food is always cold. On our last visit we had to ask them to reheat the soup and we had the french fries replaced 3 times when we basically gave up on them. The staff are pleasant and the service is good. However, neither of those things make up for bad food that is moderate to expensive. I guess it’s time to find a new place to go to.

One of the other things that we found to be a bit disturbing was that the price listed on the menu was lower than we were billed.

My kiddo and I really enjoy Brown’s, especially in good weather when they have outdoor seating. On our last visit we got the loaded fries, tomato mushroom bisque soup, a Reuben sandwich and desserts. Everything was excellent. Service is casual but attentive. Atmosphere is comfortable in a very cool building. I especially loved the loaded fries with garlic aioli. Prices are fair given the portions and what we have come to expect with the recent inflation.

The meals that we had were spectacular. The views alone from the dining room are worth 5 stars by themselves. It is off the beaten path and a small drive to get to, but it was well worth it. My polish platter was delicious, and the wifes mac and cheese was really good too. Couple all this with Browns classic brews and it was a 6 out of 5 stars. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for an amazing night out.

I’ll start with the good, beer was amazing, and service was really top notch. The loaded fries with the garlic sauce was insanely good. Pretzels were great, and the fact there was no extra salt was honestly a plus, both sauces were good. French onion soup was so so, a bit on the salty side, but still better then most I’ve had. Now the bad, the bathroom. I was hit with the smell soon as I walked in, and the amount of fruit flies was insane. Guys, amazing place, great food, just please clean the bathrooms a bit more. EDITED: bathrooms are great now!

A fantastic meal, at least as good as the Troy location, but with even better scenery and ambience. They have an entire outside tent which is really nice, although you should call and make a reservation if you want to eat in the tent.

The beers and food are excellent. I’m a huge fan of the pretzels with beer mustard as well as their pulled pork. I’ll definitely be going here again.

My wife, girlfriends and I were in the area for the weekend and searched for a brewery with a comfortable atmosphere. We had THE BEST TIME HERE. From the second we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiastic service. The food was out of this world yummy (get the wings, get the pretzels, get the pickles. We cannot stop talking about this food. The entrees looked very nice too, but we only had apps.) The beer was also excellent. (Larry’s Lager and the Joan were winners.) The bar itself was beautiful, overlooking a waterfall with an OTTER and an EAGLE swimming/flying around. Bathrooms were spotless. Lindsey, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure we had fun. She so obviously loves her work and the brewery, and it really shows. The whole staff seemed actually happy. The whole place had a happy vibe. I would return to this part of VT just to visit here again. Brown’s should name a beer after Lindsey!!!!
