I don’t know who was in the kitchen last night, but I believe the “A” team was definitely in the house! Every thing was delicious! Bread basket…delicious! The oat and cinnamon ones are divine! The alligator bites were crispy, with the right amount of heat. A bit too much salt, but delicious! The burnt ends Ceasars salad!?!? Delicious! And the LAMB CHOPS! Just order the lamb chops. Cooked Perfectly! Tender with crispy edges. And the salt flight was excellent with the meat. The boar duo was good, but the lamb chops are better! Definitely going back. Worth every penny!

This place was an amazing experience, surpassing Fin and Tonic in terms of elegance. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, creating a cozy ambiance. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

The course meals were delicious, though my steak could have been better. I didn’t enjoy the type of steak I had, but it still tasted good. My Martinis were fantastic, and I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of my meal. However, I do have the drinks and other courses as shown below.

I highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back to try another steak dish. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience.

Pricey steakhouse for dinner on a work trip as the usual unfortunately this was a swing and a miss. Cesar salad had one of the worse flavor dressing I’ve ever tasted with balls of fat passing as meat. Then I had a super expensive kangaroo steak I was told should be a certain temperature but was pretty raw and had to send back. The sides were pretty bad too. The older female waitress at the bar was very knowledgeable and great service otherwise. The flavor plate just didn’t work for me but could be for others. I didn’t want to spend more outrageous money trying to find something I enjoyed.

I am writing this review as we speak. Our final bill came to $418, and unfortunately the experience did not justify the cost.

We started with a small charcuterie board priced at $28.84, with an additional $10.30 for cheese. A charcuterie board is typically expected to include cured meats and cheeses, so paying extra for cheese felt misleading from the start.

As the night went on, the issues continued. We ordered a bottle of Villa Creek Avenger 2021, which was sold to us for $139.05, despite retailing for closer to $60. While the manager attempted to elevate the experience by presenting the wine in a decanter with German china glasses, the theatrical presentation did not justify the steep markup.

For entrées, we ordered the Wagyu burger with truffle fries, which initially the fries arrived undercooked and the wagyu burger was order medium and was delivered well done. We also ordered the butter-poached lobster, but the dish was overwhelmingly spinach and butternut squash, with very little lobster. What lobster there was was overcooked, defeating the purpose of a butter-poached preparation.

I want to be clear that this review is not written from the perspective of an overly critical customer. If you are looking for a quality meal to celebrate a special occasion, treat yourself, or enjoy a true culinary experience, this restaurant simply leaves much to be desired.

A $418 bill is not worth it. For the same amount or even half you could dine in Richmond at a restaurant with better-equipped chefs, higher-quality ingredients, and far better execution. I truly mean that.

While the staff provided a pleasant and attentive experience, it felt as though the high prices reflected the location rather than the food or overall quality.

For comparison, I recently dined at Oyamel in Washington, D.C., where my guest and I enjoyed a four-course meal with drink pairings by award-winning chef José Andrés for $254.80. A significantly better value and experience.

Overall, this restaurant was extremely disappointing and not worth the price.

Had a perfect dinner with friends. Great atmosphere with delicious food and drinks. We ordered some of the unique items from the menu. I enjoyed my scalloped & octopus risotto. I loved how they built the dish. Cannot wait to return!

Me and my buddy went here on a late Saturday afternoon, it wasn’t too busy. This is a very nice restaurant. Nice booth seating that wraps around the table, cool modern design and unique artwork throughout.

The food was phenomenal. We got the alligator bites as an appetizer, they were good but I’m not a huge fan of the buffalo sauce on them, and they were loaded with that sauce. I got the exotic duo as an entree, and it was scrumptious. Cooked perfect medium rare, both the camel and kangaroo. The mashed potatoes and vegetables that came with the meat were delicious, and the glaze was very flavorful. We got the dessert platter and all of them were good, especially the ice cream and strawberry cake.
The drinks here are so good, you can’t go wrong with any of them. I opted for the Steak and Tonic margarita and pomegranate martini, both were crafted with high attention to detail and perfect strength.
Our server, Nadia, was excellent. She was very good on refilling our water, brining us anything we needed, and very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. All of the staff here are great from what I have experienced.

After dinner we went into the speakeasy for a drink, it’s so cool in there. Would highly recommend checking it out. Expensive place but worth it in my opinion!

A pretty disappointing experience for the amount we paid. The fine dining experience we expected was fulfilled with quite a few major let downs! Let’s start from the top.
Had a reservation for 8:30p, arrived early and we were told to wait. Hostess not friendly. Cresting 9p. We were informed the table we reserved in the speakeasy was not available for us, but could be if we wanted to wait for an unknown amount of time. We decided to take a regular table. We ordered a round of drinks and an appetizer and our entrees shortly afterward. Multiple drinks and food (for just 2 of us) not being entered in, never being brought out after a LONG 1.5+hr wait, anddd they still showed up on our bill 🙂 our table was continuously drafted by the cold air when the front door opened, our disappointing dishes got cold quickly. My fiancés exotic dish came with mashed potatoes; he said he could make better instant mashed potatoes. Lemon drop was good.
Good luck!

The preference from our waitress for the alligator bites, truffled macaroni, and scallops were impeccable. The service was awesome and the manager was constantly in attendance to ensure great service. The drinks were phenomenal and refreshing. I would go back and highly refer.

This is a wonderful sister restaurant to Fin and Tonic in Suffolk. Different vibe though. This isn’t the nice contemporary seafood restaurant that is F&T, it’s a beautiful steak house in its own right. Behind a secret door, there’s a hidden speakeasy bar where wonderful drinks and delicious bites await. The dishes are exquisite and for being fine dining, was delightfully unpretentious. They are known for exotic meats too. We had the options of kangaroo, ostrich, camel (you read that right) and their famous beast burger of elk, boar, bison and wagyu. The wait staff was professional and personable.
