Dont judge a book by its cover.

I was always around the area but never gave the restaurant a shot because it was just a soup shop. But I would encourage anyone who has the same thoughts to give this place a try.

The soups are top notch and the sandwiches they serve with it makes it a perfect lunch spot. I would mainly come in for the togo soups!

Good value and portions with good ingredients.

This restaurant concept is catchy but the wait for a soup and sandwich was 17 minutes and we were the only sit down customers.
The condiment cart was not stocked well and no one checked on us while we were there.
The chopped brisket sandwich was juicy and flavorful and so was the creamy chicken and wild rice soup. Overall the food was good but over priced, atmosphere is blah and oh by the way… you don’t even get water to drink, which we were not told when we ordered our food and since no one checked on us while we were eating,… it was not a pleasant experience. We will not be back.

More than Just a “Soup Shop”

I’m a big fan of Panera Bread, so when I heard about The Soup Shop (a local business that, spoiler warning, deserves your repeat patronage), I knew I had a check it out.

No surprise: The Soup Shop takes soup very seriously. It comprises half of their menu and the variety is impressive. Everything from Tonkatsu Ramen to Chicken Enchilada (one of their most popular!).

I ordered their French Onion, which was heavenly. A part of me expected to still feel hungry (I mean, it’s *just* a bowl of soup; how full can it get you?), but these soups come in ample servings. My French Onion was a deep-dish blend of savory bread and caramelized onion topped with a thick lid of blended cheese. De-li-cious!

Of course, The Soup Shop does *more* than just soup. They boast an impressive variety of sandwiches, including BLT, Chicken Salad, BBQ Brisket, Tuna Salad, and Grilled Cheese (the one I highly recommend–comes on Ciabatta Bread!). A selection of Lunch Specials combine soups/salads and sandwiches together at a discount price. They also serve bread bowls, pot pies, and pretzles.

To top everything off, be sure to grab one of their New York-imported cheesecakes (I chose Tiramisu). Soup, sandwich, and dessert–all in one!

I may be a Panera Bread fan, but next time I’m near the Soup Shop, that’s exactly where I’ll be going for lunch. I love the home-made/fresh-made taste, the cozy atmosphere, and the good feeling of supporting a local business. I highly recommend them!

My girlfriend loves this place. I find it entirely too expensive. $19 for a bowl of soup and a small slice of cheesecake. They advertise soup by the quart, then they didn’t the flavor I wanted “by the quart”. So I asked for two smaller ones to make a quart, and they said it would be nearly twice the price! Girlfriend’s happy. Not me……

I was so glad to see this open. In the end, a bit disappointed by the selection and the price tag for some of the soups (tomato soup at $10 for a small jar is a bit ) but I know the rent there isn’t cheap.
The young man that was at the register was very polite and obliging and seemed to know about the soups, especially when asked about the spiciness levels. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be returning but if you’re not savvy in kitchen and have a soup craving, it’s a good stop in.

It was a cold, rainy day and we were looking for something warm to eat. My wife found this pop up and so we tried it. The soups were excellent. The place was really busy with people doing take-out. they had over a dozen varieties of soup. And the people were friendly and helpful. I wish there was a place like this near me. The next time we are in the area, we will definitely stop by.

We’ve been coming here since they opened and the food only gets better and better reach visit!I love how if they don’t have your soup hot, you can get it chilled or frozen. I can always find something I love! The staff is amazing and always more than happy to give you a sample of whatever you want. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. I love that it’s so close to our home.

Wow! Great soups! I had chicken with wild rice with a half BLT and both were excellent. It’s a little pricey for soup, but it was delicious. Hubby got the tonkatsu ramen, he said it was not excellent, like from a japanese restaurant, but was really good. They also have salads. If we lived near here, we’d definitely be back!
