Although the parking lot lived up to the name (slippery!!) the place itself was great! Food was good and fresh, they had darts and pool to play while waiting, and the atmosphere was good. Staff was nice and welcoming and answered any questions we had.
Bathrooms were clean as well as tables, floor etc. no complaints!

Family and some friends tried Slippery Pickle (winning edge). We found out about them from doing trunk or treat by them.
It was an odd and kinda uncomfortable start. We walked in and everyone just stopped and stared at us. There was no clear direction where to go or seat, we finally managed.
Server was nice and super helpful. The food came out hot and good sized. I think everyone like their meal except one. She said burger was over cooked and tough. The tots reminded me of potatoes ole from taco johns lol. The apps were a small miss for us. There is one section where the wording could be a bit better. I had even asked server to try to clarify and was confirmed that you get 5 apps. I still felt it was conna be more of a app sampler trat and sure enough it was which was fine because we wanted to try alot. The cheese curds were not good at all. Everything else was great. The coleslaw was delicious and creamy.
We were checked upon several times even by cook. There was no music going so we ate in silence or us talking, it did finally start at end as we was leaving lol. For most part being I feel it was a good experience. A few tweaks here and there probably wouldnt hurt but i could say that for all places really. It wasnt loud there or people talking bad at least not when we was there with kids.

It is a very chill neighborhood divebar with a lot of pool tables and darts. They have the standard beers and surprisingly good selection of whiskeys. Staff is very chill and nice. They do karaoke once every week too! I wish they served food there.

Stopped in with a large group of friends December 27, 2025, around 9 p.m. The male owner was showing off his 3rd nipple to bar patrons and my female friend asked to see it since he was showing everyone else. The female bar owner then confronted my friend who mind you was sitting within 4 foot of her own husband. The female bar owner was very drunk and rude to my friend who did nothing wrong. It was the male owner of the bar showboating his third nipple. Both owners are very unprofessional obviously. Instigating fights with patrons is not a good look for a business. We will not ever go back & I’ll share this story with everyone I know.

A friend invited me to this establishment for drinks. This hidden gem did not disappoint. The environment was welcoming and Mason was an amazing bartender. I requested a drink he was less familiar with, but he made it perfectly. The fish bites were delicious; this is definitely a low-key place to come enjoy good company!

Amazing Bloody Mary’s! They make their own mix and you can get them with spicy or regular pickle vodka. (I did the spicy and it was just enough!) Also ordered a few appetizers (fried pickles and pickle wrap dip) which were tasty!

I went out to lunch with a friend…the place was a dive and NOT in a good way!!! There was only 1 other table besides us and it still took over an hour to make a salad and a wrap and it was disappointing to say the least! Don’t waste your time or money!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff! Pickle Wrap Dip as an appetizer was great! I had a BLT wrap with tots and it was amazing! Highly recommend this place!

Tryed The Slippery Pickle for the 1st time after a UNI football game. Cold beer, great food and service. Also TVs with both the Hawkeye and Cyclone games on.
