We had the most incredible Valentine’s dinner at The Bruce Hotel for their steak night, and it was simply amazing from start to finish!
The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly tender, flavorful, and done exactly right. The assortment of salads was fresh and delicious, with so many great options to choose from. The side dishes were just as impressive. The potatoes honestly tasted like they were fresh from the garden, and the dill sauce was to die for! I forgot to take a picture of my steak and the endless shrimp!
And we can’t forget dessert every bite was rich, flavorful, and the perfect way to end the evening.
It truly was the perfect Valentine’s dinner, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a special night out!

We organized 22 people to come to the Bruce Hotel for my mom’s 80th birthday. Fantastic spot! So much fun! Great atmosphere, mouth watering food, and awesome service! It’s well worth the drive. I will definitely be going back.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The waitress and all the staff were very friendly. The waitress seats you at your table and explains how the menu works, which is a nice touch. The cocktail menu is 100% worth recommending — every drink was delicious and reasonably priced. The buffet food tastes homemade and is absolutely delicious. The steak was good quality, although I ordered it medium and it came well done. It wasn’t a problem — we still enjoyed it. The restaurant’s interior is beautiful, like a museum with many details to look at. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it!

Very friendly staff. Excellent service. It did take 56 mins from sit down which was a 5:30 reservation and pick your toppings it was 6:26pm picture time. So almost 45mins to steak arrival for reference. Steak was perfectly cooked and tasted great.
Buffet salads are made for you. I found taco salad to have excellent flavour. But it was lacking some life in the lettuce. Cesar salad excellent. Broccoli salad excellent. Greek salad was alright. Macaroni crab salad excellent.
Toppings for steak. The onions were not my fave they are browned onions if u like that then you will be fine. Mushrooms are great flavour a bit more smaller than i like but still great. Beans are great everyone loved those. Garlic bread was good.
Dessert station had awesome choc chip cookies and poppyseed lemon cake. There was red velvet cheese cake and fruit salad if u like.
Beer on tap was good was fresh pours recommend that.
Food was 4 stars didn’t really knock your socks off. Buffet was good served with paper plates, but found salads maybe a wee bit sitting too long the lettuce ones anyway. The others were good still awesome. Thank you.

Small town charm and big time taste. This hotel provides a fantastic steak dinner every weekend with a different side most weekends, like shrimp or sausage. There is all the fixings like a half dozen salads . There are desserts included also. I personally like a steak medium rare and it was prepared perfectly. This is a buffet style dinner. The hotel is older of course but well lit and clean. I was here with my wife and parents and a friend. We all enjoyed our meal and can recommend coming here. There is lots of parking and easy access to the hotel. Keep in mind it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get there depending on where you live.

I came in expecting to be disappointed, but I was far from it. Steaks were fabulous. And im critical when it comes to food when eating out. The atmosphere was a little dated in my opinion . Just not what I like . But that hardly matters when the steak was that good. I dont eat shrimp but the husband said it was great as well. The tables are really close together and it was a little loud. I dont know how I felt about the buffet as i only like 2 of the many salads. ( and I love salads ). Wasn’t much options for cooked vegetables and the ceasar was alright. I also always get a ceasar everywhere I go to try and find the best. And the owner was very interactive and friendly. Actually all the staff was great. Wish I could have brought my children but when going out I definitely dont want to hear kids misbehaving so I understand the concept.
