The food is fresh, the atmosphere is small and intimate and the service is impeccable! Even though it was our first visit, it felt comfortable and familiar. The owner, who was so kind and easy to speak with, came over quite a few times to our table to make recommendations, give some background on the dishes and spoke about his time in Italy. The martinis were fabulous! This is a wonderful place for a date night or with a group of friends! It’s authentic Italian food that I plan to show off to out of town family!!

We came last night .food was exceptional service terrible .the waiter literally threw the food at us .in and out in an hour . It was my birthday my husband asked the front if they would make a simple birthday gesture little candle in the desert .the front said off course the waiter couldn’t be bothered ( which i hope he noticed that his tip was small )I dont know if I would return again or even suggest the place to anyone else .it’s a shame when the food is that good that everything else is letting it down .the decoration inside completely confused .for 104 years of business I would think it would be more professional. The wine was also not good. I ordered a Gavi my favorite wine and he opened a screw top wine .no cork that would have been too much effort for the server to open . The food we had was so good it’s such a shame the wine and service let it down .if your looking for a good takeaway this is the spot.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Place was packed, they got plus a table for two and treated us like family. Delicious food, based on the manager’s recommendation. Definitely will return when in the area.

I was taken back 30 years, as long as my memory allowed, back to an old school Italian restaurant with mouthwatering traditional food and a friendly, attentive waiter. Dessert was delicious! Next time I’m taking my friends there with me.
It’s located at the end of a dead end little street. There is a sign on the Lily pond road. The red roof house is on the next corner towards the bridge.

Excellent old school Italian joint. Had appetizers served family style and ordered entrees off the menu. Everything we had was delicious! Service was impeccable, too. Great wine selection.

A true hidden gem on Staten Island!
It’s been a Staten Island staple for over 100 years and this past weekend was my first visit to the Basilio Inn and it won’t be my last. From their amazing apps to entrees to skillfully prepared desserts you will love this restaurant. Go and enjoy and be prepared to be taken back in time with some true incredible Italian food!
If you can eat outdoors under there outdoor grape view you will immediately be taken back to Italy! Enjoy!

Authentic Italian restaurant in a nice location, close to Verrazano Bridge. We were met by owner and had a pleasant conversation.
Food is Great, especially while eating outside, next to a Herb and Tomato garden.
