In town for work and staying nearby and stopped here about mid day , the fried chicken breast was good . The pickles I wished would have came on the side . They had a funny taste to them . The chicken didn’t have much seasoning to it but it was good ! May have to try the burgers next time . Good food , good beer , and a great atmosphere . Will definitely be back .

Stopped here with my son on a Sunday around 2pm.
Not busy at all, less than 10 people inside. I received one pop refill after I finished eating.
Be aware, some of their food is pre-prepared and refrigerated. Their crispy Mac and cheese bowl is not made to order. My son ordered it and took a bite immediately upon being served. The Mac and cheese was still cold from being in the fridge. Had to send it back for them to microwave or actually heat however they do here.
The onion rings are pretty good though.

Had the Smash Burger. My wife had the Lobster bisque soup. We both enjoyed our meals. Nice Decor, quaint Pub type Bar.

Why is the staff so rude when picking up carry out orders? We eat here like twice a week. Tonight, 12/21/25, we placed a carry out order. The server that helped us had an attitude like she was inconvenienced and was very rude….didn’t get her name, younger, braids. Another customer commented when she walked away, “Yeah, she was rude to us too.” Things are great when we eat in, but they’re always so rude when carrying out….we actually joke about it with our neighbor, they always give him an attitude when carrying out also. He actually stopped tipping because of it, we should have done the same tonight. Not to mention the sauce we ordered wasn’t included with our order and we were slightly overcharged for soup. I guess we’ll go somewhere else, we’re tired of the attitude. If doing carry out is too much for you then stop offering it.

Pizza constantly burned, couldn’t follow reasonable instructions for toppings. We had asked specifically and verified EXTRA SAUCE. 40 mins later after getting the take out order home, it has ZERO/NO SAUCE.
Pizza toppings were also cut random sizes.. as if 3 different people cut 5 different vegetables 2 days apart from each other. Giant piece of onion that was half cooked next to a tiny mince of green pepper that turned to mush.
A “large” pizza was only 13″ across… when asked about it, staff simply said, “well we use pre-made dough and just roll it out, but it’s 10 slices.”
I can cut a 5″ pizza into 10 slices too, doesn’t make it a “Large”.
I/m also unsure how you both manage to burn a pizza and still have it be floppy and soggy.
“Fish and chips” perch dinner is atrociously undersized at only 3, 3″ filets for over $15. Staff didn’t seem to know what was ever going on, confused and occasionally rude when problems were brought to their attention; only made excuses. Just don’t. Was good enough as T&C Sports Lounge… new place just plain sucks. It was clean inside, which was good- although that ought not to be a standard to strive for, but just expected.
What’s worse is that my brother and a few friends had similar, separate experiences and I guess I figured it had to be a fluke. Nope… this place just isn’t good. I/d chalk it up to growing pains of a new business, but they previously named bar and grill at this location had a decent thing going. Redecorate, give us some drink specials and otherwise as far as the kitchen is concerned, keep doing what they were doing. But no. They didn’t do that.
Owner says he has multiple restaurants/bars and gives the impression as an entrepreneur that he should know how to run a business.. he’s either not involved or simply not very good at this.

We stopped here for a couple smash burgers to go on our way to our cabin (traveling from out of state). The burgers were very tasty, the homemade chips were excellent, and the beer-battered onion rings hit the spot! Would certainly recommend checking them out if yoy find yourself in Au Gres!

I am a food connoisseur and a Michigan native. I have been to many many pubs and restaurants from here to overseas. This is the 14th place that gave me and my girlfriend a bad feeling that we were going to wait and wait until we get our order filled. After waiting for 15 mins, we just paid for 2 beers and we left. I expected a better service.

We took a drive up the east side of Michigan and stopped at The AuGres Anchor Pub, and we are so glad we did! The pizza was absolutely fantastic. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was great, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the entire place was noticeably very clean. It’s the perfect spot for a delicious meal and a relaxing break. Highly recommend!

There was a person singing for the patrons. Very nice. Atmosphere was nice. Bathrooms clean and nice, always a plus. Waitstaff we had was very friendly also.
