I miss some of the other locations that have closed, so when I drove by, and saw this place! I was really excited! I decided to get something else other than the normal pork chops, and it wasn’t bad! The 叉燒 was sweet enough, and the meat wasn’t all that dry. It had a nice balance of outer sweet marinade, but without overpowering the natural flavor of the meat. But my friend got the porkchops I normally get, and even though I didn’t take a bite, every time he bit into it, you could just hear the crunch of that crispy fried goodness! I’d definitely come back!

The pork chop rice dish hit the spot! The pork chop was delicious, juicy and really satisfying. The veggies were soft and tasty. I really enjoyed the simple meal here. Service was also very friendly. The only thing I was disappointed about was they don’t serve boba drinks here. Not enough demand I was told. I’ll be back though!

We stopped by Monja Taiker in Arcadia before heading to Santa Anita Park to watch race horsing. Ordered three combo meals and one beef noodle soup—classic Taiwanese flavors, and the noodle was especially good. Prices were fair.
Only downside: the combo plates are like kids’ trays. A larger plate would make the meal look and feel better.
Will definitely return when we are in this area again.

Came in for lunch and had Combo C with Porkchop Noodle Soup with a drink and a side tofu vegetable dish. The food was very good. Everything was tasty and a huge portion. Definitely recommend.

The food was good, but someone talked loudly on the phone the entire time I was there. It was not enjoyable or relaxing at all to listen to other people’s private phone conversation while eating.

The avocado smoothie is made with real avocados! And the chicken and fried tofu were both really spicy! So crispy and delicious!! Great pricing too!!

Wonderful hole in the wall Taiwanese restaurant, the food was excellently delicious. I ordered the Taiwanese sticky rice sausage, and popcorn chicken. If I come back here anytime soon, I’ll definitely go back and eat here.

Monja Taiker is a Taiwanese Comfort Food restaurant (Huntington and 1st Ave) Combos here are pretty good value, we ordered Monja Red Grain Pork Rice and Popcorn Chicken with rice and choice of a green or black tea.
Monja Red Grain Pork basically Char Siu (BBQ pork) with crispy edges /fried.
This is simple comfort food, comes with stewed/steamed cabbage, pickled radish and minced pork with sticky rice.
– Fast service
– Composable Paper Plate (if you want to take home leftover, they provide plastic lid)
– Plastic Cup for drink
Update:
Taiwanese Sausage just “OK”… La Sinbala still the best.

The service is good; I am giving the stars for the friendly people who served me. The food is “soso” . It is about 20 for my meal (see images).
The veggies for my dish are different from the ones shown in the menu and their pictures posted here on Google Map. I got pea+carrot+corn+ham instead of the cabbage and leaf greens.
The chicken is so overcooked and charred that it tastes bitter…
I had high expectations for the dine-in-only pudding. But it is similar to the ones you find in cheap bubble tea. It is probably not made of real milk, egg, or caramel.
