I get to Okmulgee about once a year and always swing in to Daddy B’s. Very friendly staff, small but clean and open dining area and good food. I don’t eat fried catfish many places – but it is perfect here. Ribs are flavorful enough that I don’t bother saucing them up.

Me and my family stumbled across this barbecue joint a while ago every time that we have been here the food has been amazing and the service is awesome too we live about 45 minutes away and it’s well worth our drive. Chassidy was an amazing waitress. Keep up the amazing work.

Driving through Okmulgee and stumbled upon this fantastic BBQ joint! We were so glad we stopped. Outstanding service and the best BBQ in the state. The beef brisket was incredibly tender, the turkey moist, and the ribs were smoked to perfection – fall-off-the-bone tender with a smoky, savory crust. Highly recommend!

Daddy B is a BBQ joint on West 6th Street in Okmulgee. They have indoor seating and do take-away as well. Opening hours are 11am to 8pm (Mon – Sat). Menu is a fairly typical range of Texas style BBQ available that can be purchased by the pound, as dinner sets or in sandwich form. Expected sides available as well.
Stopped by recently and did an order of the 1.5 pounds of meet (choice six), everything was pretty good, a bit dry but good on the whole. The smoked chicken and pulled pork where particularly enjoyed. Okra, baked beans and coleslaw all tasted just fine. Service was patient, friendly and timely, prices pretty good for the portion sizes.

Ribs were very good and tender. Mom has the 4 meat platter. She loved the chopped brisket & fried okra and took the other 3 meats home to eat. Food came out in a decent amount of time especially being at lunch time. We were checked on fairly often without being annoying. No idle chit chat which I am perfectly fine with.
Overall a very quality experience!

Will return without hesitation next time we’re nearby. Exactly what we wanted. Hand cut fries. Great pickles. Dinner plate has three large pieces of perfectly seasoned + fried catfish.
Po’ Boy was a little weird (cheddar slices?), but only Louisiana really knows how to do those.
Fried okra was good. Cole slaw was good. Tartar sauce was good, and unique.
Would get everything again except the po’ Boy.
The spicy BBQ sauce wasn’t spicy enough for me (but I like spicy). BBQ sauce was a little too sweet for me overall.
Our server was perfect. Regret not getting her name to give her a shout out.

The catfish came out hot and they were nice thick pieces, had great flavor and was cooked perfect. The fries and okra came out cold. The ribs were bigger than expected and they had the best flavor. The smoke was thick and flavorful. The spicy bbq sauce was better than the regular.

Couldn’t decide what to get so ended up getting the 6 meat platter (1 1/2 pounds). The pulled pork was a little dry but with some sauce it was just fine. The hot links had just enough heat to let you know what time it was and the chopped brisket was perfect. Everything had a really good smoke flavor but wasnt overpowering. Nothing disappointed… even the fries were good. Will definitely be back.

I got the rib dinner super good. The beans were amazing!! Ribs definitely did need some bbq sauce which they give you 2 bottles, one jalapeno and then one regular. Would definitely come back!
