My husband showed me an ad for Surge from Step Out Buffalo. When I saw they had an Eggs Benedict flight, one of my favorite breakfast options, I knew we had to go! Upon arrival, the atmosphere was confusing- the decor gave it an upscale vibe, but there was Latin music playing. There was some sort of art exhibit/sale going on at the time too, which felt a little out of place.
The mimosa menu was extensive with at least a dozen different options. I decided to get the Caramel Apple, but definitely was interested in trying a second flavor later on. The menu has a lot of great options. It was difficult to choose between savory and sweet, but I knew I wanted the Eggs Benedict flight. I decided on the Deluxe, Lox, and Hash as my three. My husband ordered the Latin Skillet.
While we were dining, the restaurant got busier. At its busiest, there was about 6 or 7 tables full plus there were people coming in to pick up take-out orders. Our server, who I’m assuming was the owner, was the only one there. He struggled to manage the amount of customers he had on his own, often disappearing into the kitchen for 5 minutes at a time. He assured me three times that my mimosa was coming, but by the end of the meal, I still never received the mimosa I initially ordered and he had to take it off the bill. What a disappointment, especially because I likely would’ve ordered a second.
While I can sympathize with him being short staffed, the food did not make up for the poor service. The Eggs Benedict was probably the worst I’ve ever had. The English muffins were not toasted, the eggs were overdone and not runny, and the hollandaise sauce was very thick and salty. The home fries were cold and under seasoned. My husband’s meal was a little better. The eggs with his skillet were also overcooked, but the chorizo was nicely seasoned. He upgraded his toast for pancakes, which turned out to be a mistake. The pancakes clearly had sat out long enough to cool allowing the moisture to set and making them dense, not light and fluffy.
Overall, not a good experience, especially considering the price ($55 for two entrees and a coffee). I would not come here again.

After seeing a post on tiktok from this place my husband and I had to give them a try! We went for breakfast. The decor and set up of the restaurant was beautiful and really well done. We’re were seated instantly. Our server was super attentive and friendly. We got our order pretty quickly after ordering. I got the eggs, home fries and toast while my husband got the Greek breakfast. The home fries were well seasoned and cooked almost perfectly. The chicken in my husband’s breakfast was delicious. It has a nice smoky Mediterranean taste. The taziki was delicious. It tasted fresh and well made. It would be amazing in a salad. We will definitely be back to try some of the delicious sounding crepes next time!

Custard based crepes were very disappointing, did not finish. “Fruit Avalanche” was just strawberries and bananas.
Server was confused about what I ordered directly from the menu.

So full disclosure, I’ve never ate at the restaurant itself but I order their hash benedict for delivery all the time. It is absolutely one of the best breakfasts ever! My all-time favorite! I have to stop myself from ordering it every weekend!

It’s a charming restaurant with great atmosphere. The menu is wonderful…from umpteen mimosa choices to the Benedict choices and everything else. I’d love to try the crepes. I just think drinks should be cold; not slightly cool AND hot foods should be hot; not lukewarm. Once they nail this, they’ll be GREAT!!

Ordered via door dash. I requested onions and peppers for my home fries. We’ll they gave me onions and peppers raw. Just threw them in the Home fries. Pretty basic. My eggs Benedict was delicious though

First of all I would like to say I discovered Surge Restaurant on Facebook. Everything on the menu looked and sounded amazing so I had to try the food. We went for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. Our waitress was very friendly, coffee was great and plentiful and we got our food in about 15 minutes after ordering. My husband had the eggceptional omelette and I had the apple almond crepes. We both enjoyed our meals and prices were very reasonable. The only thing that I would suggest is maybe warming the apples that go in the crepes. They were served cold but the crepes were still delicious. Will definitely be back I would love to try lunch or dinner there.

Went at opening time 8am. The grape leaves were spot on. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict were good, a bit under but salmon, tomato, and onion helped the dish, with hot, properly cooked potatoes to go along. Sergio was a very nice host, and whatever hiccups others may have had I’m sure he’ll fix. Prices were reasonable and plenty of parking in back.

My husband and I took his parents to Surge to celebrate his birthday. Unfortunately no one enjoyed their food and it was quite a disappointment. All the meals were served luke warm. My mother and father in law ordered the eggs Benedict. All the eggs were either hard and overcooked or transluscent and undercooked. I ordered a savory crepe that was not good. The crepe was very sweet and thick like a pancake. The ends were crunchy and brown. The asparagus was overcooked and difficult to chew and the chicken was grizzly. My husband ordered the rueben which was just ok. We spent over $100 for a very unsatisfying meal. Our server was nice, but besides that we did not enjoy our experience and will not return.
