TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First time trying this place after hearing all the hype. Wow! It seriously is very delicious! I can honestly say this is the best chicken I’ve ever had it’s like no other. At first glance the menu doesn’t look very filling, but as a big eater like myself I actually got full. The chicken is perfect it tasted like it came right off a southern bbq grill. The Dave’s sauce is very good too & goes well with the chicken. Fries are a must with ketchup but very savory too. If you’re craving chicken I highly recommend this place you won’t be disappointed!

My chicken was hot, crispy and fresh but it was a tiny little tender. I went with the extra hot and it barely warmed my lips and faded off. I am comfortable with heat though. I’ll try reaper some time.

I tried tenders extra hot, one below the Reaper. Not to spicy to eat, no sweat. But after a while after having finished the meal, my lips are burning and also some burn in my throat:-) all good.

After so many times of having gone to this shopping center for the other stores, I finally took a chance to come in, and I thought it was pretty good! Staff was friendly, they were really patient with me. Food came out in maybe ~7 minutes or so, so that’s pretty standard. I thought it was pretty good! Was reading some of the reviews saying there’s no flavor? I don’t know, maybe I’ve become such an old man now, I thought it was good. Not over-the-top. Someone said they barely gave any cheese over the fries? My observation was that they meticulously layered the cheese, so that it wasn’t just a giant slab on top with nothing on the bottom. I’ve never been to any other restaurant that goes through that level of detail to make sure the right amount of cheese is evenly distributed across the fries like that! BRAVO! Shoutout to the 1pm crew! You guys are awesome!
Also, for as long as they’ve been in business, EVERYTHING is clean! Like, not a hint of grease staining the floors or the furniture.

Best Chicken in all of town. Extra Spicy is always a perfect blend of almost too hot and not hot enough. This location always delivers. Shout out to Johnathan. one of the guys in the back literally sneezed into his hands 10 times and dug into his nose with tissues just to turn and continue filling the sauce cups WITHOUT washing his hands. disgusting. I informed Matthew in regard to this employee just for him to dismiss me and tell me he washed his hands as if I didn’t witness the whole thing. the food here is great but seeing an employee sneeze into his hands and not immediately clean them after makes me not want to come back. do better Dave

Felt like I was eating a better version of KFC, chicken was juicy and tender, but the bread and the fries were both kind of soggy. House sauce was good with the fries, but I’m curious if there’s anything really special about the sauce? For me, it tasted just like the thousand island sauce we can get from anywhere. Kale slaw and Mac n cheese were okay. Overall, I liked the chicken but other than that nothing really stood out!
