The following describes my first and only trip I made to this restaurant earlier today during the snow storm, this was my only food option:

Upon entering, I could tell this was one of those odd little last-resort restaurants that wasn’t spectacular but was passable since it was my only option during the snow storm, as i’m currently stranded.

When I sat down, I didn’t receive water and had to watch my server take the food order for an entire party of 6 while I watched in annoyance. Ok no big deal.

The glass that I was served my water in was not fully polished nor clean. As a matter of fact, it was smudgy and dirty so when he approached me with the pitcher and immediately began pouring my water before I could say anything about the glass, I had to let it slide. I placed my food order to a very dispassionate personality and thought nothing of it. However, once I saw dust or residue in the water floating around like fishies in Lake Michigan I had to call it out and he served me a new glass. (which was also smudgy)

Ok no problem, except after taking a couple sips of water, he snuck up and refilled my glass with the same pitcher as before which resulted in…..….. yep the same little swimmers from before. Except this time i was so frustrated and thirsty that I just sipped on it.

My food arrived eventually with no punctuality just as I overheard the two girls at the table to my left complaining about a hair in one of their sandwich. The other girl got the soup. The server swore it was a crisped edge from the ham. They went back and forth for a bit and he eventually took their sandwich away. Soup girl immediately asked for the check, I could hear the frustration in her voice.

My dish looked exactly like what sandwich girl got. I hesitatingly inspected it before taking my first bite. I had ordered a cubano, which was more like a heated sandwich. Not pressed, not grilled. The chicken on it was dry. Although it ‘tasted’ decent, was not worth the $18 I paid. The pickle you see on the plate was not fresh, it had darkened & softened on the edges which indicated to me it was old, so I didn’t eat it. The same goes for the turkey slices on the sandwich which seemed like they were not fully sealed or stored properly indicated by the darkening and dry edges—even after cooking.

Overall, I once again am reminded of the fact that my gut feeling, in cuisine and in dining, is always right. This place has no emotion, no soul. The food is mediocre and overpriced. ($22 dish average) I had the option to walk away but I did not. There is an odd-colored carpet from 2004 that drives the atmosphere closer to an unsettling dystopia rather than a charming vintage gem.

This the most 2-Star restaurant I have ever experienced.

The food is 4 stars as a hotel restaurant. Food was just ok … some good, some mediocre. I was staying next door at the Residence Inn so this was really the only place that was within a short/medium walk. I went a second time without hesitation. The third night i didnt really want to, but wanted to drive even less. App portions were huge. Calamari was ok. Bbq chicken wings were great, sweet chili wings were not good. Quesadilla was really good (super greasy from all the cheese) Chicken sandwich was really good. Chicken Caesar was good but a bit too much dressing. Creme brule was very disappointing. Had low expectations for a hotel resto … it beat them, but only by a little.

It should be impossible to make fried chicken this bland. The only way a fried chicken sandwich with dressing and slaw is ruined is by overcooking. Yet this place manages to hit the texture and appearance just right while serving up zero flavor. If I had no tastebuds I could have been confused that this was a pretty good sandwich. Alas, I do. Despite all logic, this thing was more bland than a beige ’97 Malibu in the Iowa City Walmart. If you could hold fried water between two buns it’d have more flavor than this sandwich. The chicken that died for this deserved so much better.

Service was fine

Arrived for a quick stay. Meeting I’m the area. Drove for hours to get here, so was not up to driving somewhere to go eat. Restaurant located at the Hilton Brunswick.

Very quiet for a Friday night. Server was attentive and friendly. Plenty of available seating. There was even bar side seating available if you wanted to catch a game on the large screen TVs.

Menu is limited. Looks like it changes from time to time. I ordered a César Salad. Finished it before getting a chance to take a photo. It was good.

Main entree was the Shrimp Linguini. It had just the right amount of spicy kick I love.

No room for dessert, but they did have selections I would ordinarily order.

Closed the tab with a to go cub of coffee. Had to loose the lid, as it appears that person who prepared the coffee left their scent on the lid. Coffee was good.

Overall, prices are a bit steep for the type of food. Although the food was good, they fees appear as high end. This place is more of a mid range location, and rates on the high end of a restaurant in that rating.

The food is a miss here. I had a salad and my colleague had an entree. The entree was less than desirable. I’m not really sure what they are doing in the kitchen. I was already weary about eating here. The reviews turned me away. But the traffic was so bad outside I was left to fend here. The only reason why I’m giving this 3 stars because the service was friendly. Well the bartenders are. I’m not sure about the rest of the waitstaff. Hotel managers you need to read the reviews. The food is terrible. You really need to fix it or you are not gonna have any business.

This restaurant is in great convince to the Hilton hotel. The food here is very good, we got the pizza with French onion soup and it was delicious! Our waitress was very kind but could of been a little more attentive to our table. The service was fairly quick, we were eating our food in no time! Definitely a place to come to if you are staying at the Hilton.

Blossom is dirty, the food mediocre, and the atmosphere dreary.

Very depressing restaurant in a very depressing hotel.
