I live in Kirkland and drove about 30 minutes in traffic just to eat at Sing Tong Thai Cuisine & Bar — and it was completely worth it. I would make this drive again anytime for this food.
First, the beef salad YUM NUA YANG is absolutely unforgettable. I’ve ordered beef salad in many places, but nothing compares to this one. The steak was perfect! tender, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. It’s tossed with fresh greens, crunchy celery, and cashews, all coated in a beautifully balanced spicy sauce. I love spicy food, and this sauce is perfect: bold, fresh, and flavorful without being overwhelming. Every bite gives you tender steak, crisp vegetables, crunch from the nuts, and that addictive spicy dressing. It feels healthy but never boring — high protein, fresh vegetables, amazing flavor. Honestly, it’s even better than eating steak alone.
Then I ordered the Sing Tong fried rice, and wow — this might be the best fried rice I’ve ever had. I order fried rice everywhere, but nothing tastes like this. You can tell it’s made with real authentic chili paste. The rice texture is perfect — every grain separate and fluffy, not dry and not greasy. Each bite is packed with flavor, with shrimp and vegetables blended beautifully. It’s savory, aromatic, slightly spicy, and incredibly satisfying.
And I have to talk about the matcha. I’m extremely picky about matcha and I’ve tried it all over Seattle. The matcha here is truly top quality. The moment you take a sip, you can tell it’s the real thing — smooth, rich, vibrant, and not bitter like the cheap matcha many places use.
This place honestly feels like a hidden gem. The quality of the food is outstanding, and every dish feels carefully made with real ingredients and authentic flavor.

I love Thai food, but this time I wanted to skip the usual Pad Thai and try something more authentic and different. I decided to visit Sing Tong Thai Cuisine and I’m so glad I did.
I ordered the Pad Cha Seafood, and it was absolutely delicious. The spice level was perfect — flavorful and exciting without being overwhelming. The seafood tasted fresh and the aromatic herbs made the dish so enjoyable, especially with rice.
I also tried the BBQ chicken with Som Tum (papaya salad) and it was a fantastic combination. The papaya salad was very fresh with perfectly crunchy papaya and bright, authentic flavors. The BBQ chicken was juicy, flavorful, and grilled beautifully.
The restaurant is also very convenient with parking right in front, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. They even have a bar and comfortable booths, which makes it great whether you come with friends, a group, or just to enjoy a nice meal by yourself.

Sing Tong Thai Cuisine and Bar is tucked away in Hillcrest Square, Renton. I have been driving by for years and never went inside. It was much nicer inside than I expected. The establishment was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the dining room was laid out so you can enjoy your food privately yet feel like you were in a fairly upscale restaurant. The food was super tasty. I ordered 4 star hot but was not very spicy. I will order 5 star next time.
