Just moved here not too long ago and was looking for an authentic German restaurant. This place was perfect! We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The food was very good and they had more options than I was expecting. I got the rahmschnitzel for the first time and it was delicious. They have a good amount of German beers and my husband was also able to buy beers by the bottle to take home. They have a cute little shop in the restaurant that has a bunch of little snacks, seasonings, mugs, and also cold foods like sausages and meats. If you’re looking for German food or to try something new definitely check this place out!

The pastry case featured beautiful desserts. We enjoyed dinner.

The service was good, but we were originally seated at the bar and no one was there to tend to us, so we asked to be seated at a table.

Great! On my current USA trip I discovered this restaurant by chance. I am very positively impressed. The food was very good, just like home and the people were very nice. Also the ambience is very nice, there is even a small souvenir shop. And the best: German beer on tap I had Rouladen with red cabbage and dumplings. I can highly recommend. My wife had Jägerschnitzel with potato salad and fries, that was also excellent. All in all I can give 5/5 stars and recommend the restaurant to everyone. When I’m back in the area, I’ll stop by again.

This place is absolutely amazing for true authentic German cuisine. Everything is delicious, fresh, and hot. Some of the dishes like Rouladen and Sauerbraten they do run out of occasionally as they have a long prep time but you will not be disappointed with anything you order here from the Shnitzel to the Wurst selections.

Walked into the restaurant tonight and we (party of 3) sat ourselves at a table. No greeting (no big deal). Cleaned our own table, sat for about 10 minutes with 2 waiters (2 young males) walking by numerous of times never acknowledging that we were there. No drink order, no menu to look over, no nothing. We patiently waited and still noting. We decide to get up and leave. Waiter looks at us and still nothing. Terrible customer service regardless of how busy it was. Also noticed other tables some had drinks and everyone still had a menu with no orders taken. Last time we were here the food was delicious and good customer service. Very disappointing.

Finally made it to German Food, Gifts, and More. Late minute decision after car hunting and I was hungry, and tired. And this hit the spot. Can’t recommend enough.

Atmosphere: Clean restaurant, definitely German feel. From the store area to the restaurant section. All you see is authentic German goodies, and food. FYI, they have the good smurfs candy. Only con….restaurant area doesn’t hold alot of people so be prepared for that. We got last table. So im sure there’s a wait at times.

Service: I didn’t catch waiter’s name but he was amazing. Very consistent, and checked on us often.

Food: was very good…my 1st time here, of course got the Bratwurst. I liked that you had several meat selections to choose from as well as bread choices. I hot the 2 brat and 2 sides meal. And brought some of my sides, and one brat home. Ended up getting extra bread to take home as well. My 2 sides were fries and potatoe salad. Daughter ventured to something different and she made a happy plate. She also got the potatoe soup (side funny, menu says potatoe soup has potatoes ). It came hot, so be careful. She ended up taking that home with her cause she was full as well.

Prices: i can’t complain about the cost. Worth it in my opinion. Especially knowing they import alot of their product. And we had leftovers for later

Shop: we ended up buying some goodies to take home with us. Again, they have the good smurf candy

Definitely recommend heading across the river to enjoy some delicious German food.

Everything about my first experience with German cuisine was excellent. I absolutely loved the Red Cabbage side dish served with the schnitzel I ordered. It was tasty, a little zing, and not mushy. So good! That alone would have been an incredible meal.

The pretzel was delicious with the beer cheese. I’m glad my brother decided to share!

The service was friendly and attentive and engaging. The kitchen literally came out and watched over our first bites and made recommendations to ensure we enjoyed our meal.

I like a place where I feel welcome to engage with the people and the place. I really like this place!

What a fun discovery! German food is not easy to find in the south, but this small spot is tasty and pleasant. I even heard German being spoken!

The service was cordial, and the advice was spot on. They’ve a wide variety of German specialties, including sausages, schnitzel, sauerbraten, and even goulash! They also have German beer, wine, and a great dessert case. The food was well prepared. The sauce was fantastic, the roast beef tender, and the potatoes were perfect.

It’s a fun atmosphere and they’ve a small market as well. One can buy German treats, ceramics, and small pieces of clothing.

Over lactose vegetarians will find meals, but vegans will have a harder time. Wheelchair accessibility is possible, but I might call ahead. There is a nice patio with umbrellas as well.

Enjoy!
