It’s a little weird. They’re supposed to be open till 10:00 on Saturdays. We got there at 8:00 but there were only two other tables that were still eating, and by 9:00 the staff was trying to close up since no one else had come in. They wouldn’t tell me he price of the drinks before ordering them which rude but it is what it is. The place was super clean I guess just don’t expect to be able to come in at the last minute.

Love that this is a small local place. Food was good. Service fast and friendly. BUT… I checked the menu out on line for carry out. Ordered two combo platters listed at $13.99 each. When I picked up the food, one was $19.99 and the other $18.99. They need to put up a website or figure out how to update their menu on the site that comes up on google search.

Stayed at the hotel next door and needed a bite to eat. Went at lunch time and it wasn’t too busy. It was a bit pricey but overall good food. The cheese enchilada and tamale combo was good. The best part about this place? They bring salsa and refried beans to start! If you’re looking for a place to curve your Mexican craving, this isn’t a bad option!

We wanted to try this place out but not get a big meal. We thought we could have a little something before we met friends for dinner later on that night. Anyway…..We chose a chili relleno no beans or rice on the side and chicken taquitos. The relleno was really good. Great flavor. The taquitos were ok. They took four taquitos and cut them in half served them on a plate of lettuce with a small spoonful of guacamole. These two items and a margarita was 42.00 dollars with a tip. I know things are going up everywhere but did you know that 5 hamburgers, two fries and two drinks at In-N- Out was 28.00 dollars? Something is very wrong with this.

On a positive note at LA Tapatia the service was friendly and fast. REALLY FAST. If you are in a hurry no matter how busy they are you will be served very quickly. Israel waited on us and his nick name is Papa Bear, if you go you should ask for him. He was nice and attentive.

I’ve had a few of their plates and they were all good- but I will review the tacos here. Taste trumps all, and these have all. The Al Pastor is great, the Chorizo is good, even the chicken is delicious. Warm, soft tortillas with the right amount of time on the grill. Good salsas and topped with Cilantro and onions. Plain and simple-good tacos.

They provide salsa, beans and chips. The price per taco is decent, slightly higher than other taco joints. But the value is definitely there.

Plus- military discount. Always nice!

Traveling out of town and live in a town that has more Mexican food restaurants than you can count on two hands. The tacos al pastor burrito here blew everything I’ve ever had out of the water! The girls were friendly and the food was fast and hot. If ever back in town I would definitely eat here again.

Carnitas were not traditional Michoacán style but very tasty none the less. The burrito Colorado I took to go and ate it for lunch the next day was still quite solid… and they had Tecate! Tecate is nothing to brag about but I live near there so it was cool to see. I would eat there again next time I’m in town.

Service was good and food came out pretty quick but chips were hard bordering on stale and the salsa was not very good. My wife enjoyed her enchilada and said that it was seasoned well but my arroz con pollo was overseasoned. This is not to say it was too spicy but it was too salty and tasted like fajita seasoning had been just dumped on it. Very strong flavors. Very overpowering. The flour tortillas are probably the best thing that I had. Very soft and fluffy. I asked and was told that they were not made in the house but whatever brand they use is excellent.

The food was terrible for the price I paid. Tamales tasted like the kind you’d buy from the frozen food section at Albertsons. The shredded beef had a ton of liquid. The service was decent but didn’t check in on you much at all. 32 bucks for a combo plate and a michelada. Was not worth more than 20 to be honest as far as quality goes.

The Steak Azteca is the dish to get, trust me. You’ll get juicy marinaded chicken breast soaking in a dark savory spicy sauce. You’ll also get beans and rice with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. The chicken also has a lot of cheese on it. I liked putting my rice in the juice. The chips and salsa is alright. The food is a little pricier than similar restaurants, but the food is good quality. I recommend La Tapatía.
