We discovered this place last year and absolutely love it! The seafood is always fresh, you can’t beat the wine and $1 oyster deal and the ambiance is beautiful. The best part about it is Niffy who manages all the tables and takes such good care of you. Such a gem!!

Cozy seafood restaurant just a couple blocks away from Jack London’s marina. They have a daily special where you can get $1 oysters if you buy a bottle of wine. They have a small but incredibly curated wine list – some good local wines and some good imports as well.
Their oysters are incredibly fresh. I love the amount of sauces available as well. you also HAVE to try their clam chowder. It’s incredibly flavorful and hits the spot every time.
Easy to get a table here (even on a weekend) but they also take reservations. They also have an outdoor patio and I’m assuming the patio would be dog friendly.

Ahhh my new favorite seafood spot! I love, my boyfriend and I came here for our 6th anniversary on Sunday. Customer service was phenomenal, we were assisted by Kim & I forgot the other gentleman’s name. He was tall with a flannel shift. The food was top tier!! High recommend for drinks and food.

We went for a Thursday happy hour one dollar oysters up to one dozen with a bottle of wine. We sat outside. They had other very affordable appetizers. Delicious smoked trout dip and good shrimp cocktail. I had the fresh anchovies instead of the chowder which I have heard is excellent.

Have been a fan of Danny’s oysters at his previous places. So glad this place is open. Wonderful menu and freshest oysters. I love the flavorful clam chowder- must try. Also great wine pairing with seafood. The shrimp cocktails has a wonderful lingering taste, a bit of kick at the end. Clam casino has bacon and cheese baked into the clam. Very nice texture. Great option added to the menu with other dishes. The Spanish anchovies weee so tender and tasty. Hope to come back soon to try other dishes. Friendly staff, easy parking on the street near Jack Landon Square.

Such a wonderful spot! I have now come here 3 times and The Salty Pearl never disappoints. All the seafood is so fresh. The tuna crudo is amazing. Clam chowder and $1 oysters are awesome too. Some places skimp on quality for happy hour deals, but the oysters here are still perfect and well shucked. The other highlight is that every person who works here has been so kind and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!

Visited for the first time on a Thursday with the GF for dinner. Wow , what a gem! The location is across the street from Cost Plus World Market, and parking was relatively easy around 5:45 p.m. We did not have reservations, but they were able to seat us at the end of a table for six (shortly thereafter another party of two said the opposite end, yet there was plenty of space between us).
We ordered several dishes to share…
Stand outs were the radicchio Caesar (my favorite!!), oysters on half shell, steamed mussels and oooh their smoked trout dip!! The lobster roll had good proportion of lobster to theroll, however the flavor was just OK.
Thirty minutes into our dining experience, the restaurant was completely full. Service was impeccable and on point, especially for a newly open restaurant. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and overall, a well-oiled machine! The menu is limited and meant to be shared like tapas style, however from the dishes we had, it was really delicious, and I will definitely be back!

This place is a hidden gem! We found The Salty Pearl by accident while visiting Narrative, the huge vintage/antique store next door. It’s excellent! They offer a great selection of East and West Coast oysters, plus a variety of seafood-focused small plates, entrees, and platters. Everything that we ordered was top-notch. They also offer oysters for only $1 each with the purchase of a bottle of wine. Easy parking in the nearby Washington Street garage. We look forward to going back soon!

We landed at OAK during rush hour and decided to get a bite close by before driving north to Sonoma County. We picked the right spot! The food was great and we especially loved the three different oysters on offer that day and the amazing crudo (salmon, amberjack and tuna that day) using the tasty bread to mop up the oil. The chowder was the best I’ve tasted, with delicious stock as the base and not gritty or starchy. And the lobster roll . Service was very casual but also friendly and efficient. If we lived in the area, this would be our regular hang.
