I love Cali Bistro! This is our 3rd time ordering, so I just wanted to give kudos to this local gem. The food is always tasteful, and this might be one of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had. The wings, cheesesteak, and western fries are delicious. Two thumbs up give them a try.

Real Cheesesteaks in Moco! None of this steak and cheese nonsense. They are delicious, I can’t believe it. Perfect crispy golden fries. All so good. I can’t wait until the next time.
UPDATE: Tried the pizza and thermo nuclear wings. Nothing but amazing. Wings were crispy, saucy, delicious, fresh and hot hot but also excellent after a night in the fridge. I loved them. Celery and blue cheese dressing were included. Pizza was perfect. Crust to cheese ratio was unbelievable. I tried a cheese pizza and a bacon cheeseburger. This food is too good to be West coast inspired. East Coast 100%. Think Pat’s, Nino’s, or Season’s. Excellent!

Gotta give my first experience 5 stars. Got the chipotle rice bowl and it is really very good. Very large portion so it’s gonna take 2 or probably 3 tries to get through it. Delicious!

We ordered food this evening and it took over two hours to arrive. What made matters worse is that we called at least 5 times and were met with a non-descript voicemail. I ended up driving to the store to find other customers inquiring about their orders. As I waited, my wife called and said our food had arrived. The only saving grace was the pizza and wings were delicious. Not very hot, but tasty. The wings were definitely not mild, but I liked them. If they ever get their act together, it will be a great place to get food from.
UPDATE 2/15/2021 – given how great the pizza was, we decided to give them another try. They did not disappoint. There pizza is delicious and this time, the order arrived on time without issue. Will certainly order again. Changed 3 stars to 4.

My scheduled delivery order was 45 minutes early – which i suppose is better than late! Salads were tasty and they provide a reasonable amount of dressing which is more than I can say about their competitors. Wings were meaty and tasty. I wouldn’t order the cinnamon breadsticks again – they’re basically strips of dough with a light dusting of sugar and unfortunately they forgot to include the frosting dip which is my favourite part of this dish so that wasn’t the best item. Overall this is a good new destination and next time I’ll try the pizza.

My wife and I enjoyed our order from California Bistro so much that I had to leave my first ever Google review. Ever since moving to the area, we’ve been searching for a place that could make a pizza we would enjoy and not just tolerate. That wait is finally over! Throw in delicious garlic bites, fantastic rice bowls and one of the best cheese steaks we’ve had in years and you’ve got a restaurant we’ll definitely be coming back to.

Huge variety on the menu. Their wings are fire! The “really really hot” ones aren’t actually very hot though, which is disappointing. They’re big and crispy though. They’re the closest things to PA wings I’ve been able to find in MD. There subs and sandwiches are good. I especially like the turkey Ruben. I haven’t gotten a pizza from there yet because they’re a little pricey. DO NOT get a rice bowl. They are terrible beyond belief compared to their other food. Also the cream of crab soup wasn’t great. Overall the place is really good. You just have to know what to get because its a little inconsistent in quality across their huge menu.

We got:
* Southwest Salad: it was amazing the chili is fresh and homemade. It is spicy so know that but it was very FRESH
* Crispy Chicken Salad: my husband loved it good amount of chicken too with every bit.
* Cheesy Broccoli Bites: they were great and seemed to be homemade by the way the breading on them was. They were really great!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND GREAT FOOD AND PRICES

I ordered wings and pizza (was CRAVING both). There’s a place in Rockville we like a lot; but I thought I would give California Bistro a try. I’m glad I did. Th food came hot, and my wife and I really enjoyed the flavors. I ordered hot wings and they were very tasty. We like them with a little more heat; but that was easily rectified with sauce we had at home. Next time I’ll order the hottest they have. The pizza was outstanding. The sauce makes the pizza for me, and it was very well seasoned and generously applied. This is my pizza place now. I highly recommend it.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! This excellent takeout- eatery is closed. I’d love to know what happened because this place was awesome with hard working people and outstanding food. Here’s my original review for what its now worth…This Derwood, MD takeout is outstanding. It’s honestly great. We’ve been ordering a variety of foods like subs, salads and shakes, wings, pastas and lots more for some months. CB is several levels above the competition. Really fresh food prepared brilliantly and always, consistently delicious. To repeat: outstanding!
