The Japanese-Spanish fusion concept is unique and works beautifully. As someone from Spain, I was especially excited to see jamón ibérico on the menu—but what truly surprised me was the sushi. The nigiri, in particular, was outstanding—some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The jamón nigiri was my favorite, though every piece was so flavorful and exceptional that we ordered a second round.
Other highlights included the pan con tomate, crispy olives, and octopus.
Our server was warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which really added to the experience. The restaurant itself is stunning, with a vibrant atmosphere and an excellent cocktail and wine selection.
I look forward to returning soon and highly recommend Hai Si to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Aspen.
Our group had the privilege of dining in their stunning private room, and from start to finish, the entire evening was unforgettable. The space itself is beautifully designed—intimate yet elegant, with an ambiance that makes you feel both relaxed and transported at the same time. It’s the perfect setting for a celebration, special occasion, or simply treating yourself to something extraordinary.
The food? Truly next level. Every dish was a work of art—fresh, creative, and bursting with flavor. Chef Yoshi Okai’s blend of Japanese precision with Spanish flair is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. From the delicate sushi to the bold, inventive small plates, each course was memorable and left us eager for the next.
And please DO NOT FORGET to order the arguably life changing Short Rib and finish this unforgettable culinary journey with the Tofu Mochi Churros with a Matcha Chocolate Sauce (still dreaming of these).
Then there’s the service: impeccable. The staff struck that rare balance of being attentive, knowledgeable, and warm without ever being intrusive. We felt cared for the entire night, which made the evening flow effortlessly and added so much to the experience.
Hai Sí Aspen is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience I’ll never forget. If you’re in Aspen and looking for something truly special (especially if you have a group and want to enjoy the private dining room), this is the place. I can’t wait to go back!
My wife and I had an unforgettable dinner at Hai Si, easily the most exciting new addition to Aspen’s dining scene. The concept—a fusion of Spanish tapas and Japanese sushi—sounds bold, but they absolutely nailed it.
Every dish was beautifully presented and expertly executed. The standout for us was the Iberico & caviar roll—rich, luxurious, and bursting with flavor. The tapas were just as impressive, offering bold Spanish flavors that paired surprisingly well with the delicate precision of the sushi.
Service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance struck the perfect balance between upscale and relaxed.
Whether you’re a devoted foodie or simply in the mood for something unique, Hai Si is more than worth the visit. We’ll definitely be back.
