Legit Ramen at Ramen Tatsuya (Austin, TX) – Reddit

To explain the flavor, its like a thicker tonkotsu tajin flavor. Really good. The thick broth and flavors sticks onto the great thick noodles.

Happy to have found a sis company of the dip dip near me. This location specializes in ramen and wi th a more casual vibe. Service was very quick! Simple menu which I really prefer (that means they focus or specialize on each item). Love the decorations inside and out. Ramen was nicely done. A little bit on the salty side with the soup but it’s creamy and thick. Great stop overall for a famished Asian lady like me! (I had the OG ramen—-take out for the NeGI rice)

This is my second time coming here my first time was to south Austin location, I had a horrible experience. I told the guys at the North Austin location about my experience they totally wanted to make it up to me. They explained the menu to they explained everything every type of food that they have. I’m new to the ramen game so they definitely took the time to tell me what everything. Didn’t make me feel rush they truly wanted to help. I did appreciate that very mucb . This location really saved the brand of the company they heard my concerns and wanted to make it right this location is very special I will be coming back and enjoying the experience every time thanks too andre and foster they’re amazing and great engery.

I had a great time at Ramen Tatsu-Ya. Ayanna at the counter was super friendly, and Becca, our server, was really attentive. The ramen was delicious. I’ll definitely come back!

This could just be my own perspective, but idk about Ramen Tatsu-Ya anymore. I usually never leave hungry, so this could be a sign of shrinkflation/the portions getting smaller? Curry Nu School & Nu School are still solid veg options, but the menu hasn’t expanded on its veg offerings since the seasonal Pumpkin ramen from like… 2020/21?? That was the best they had to offer veg-wise, and since then… Just kinda the same thing with nothing new to offer returning veg heads.

If Ramen Tatsu-Ya was able to offer more meat and dairy-free options, I’d come a lot more often. But sadly, missing out.

Also this one time they had us wait for food that never ended up coming and thankfully we got refunded for it. But we didn’t get offered any other compensation for wasting like 30 to 45 minutes of our time waiting. I believe it was simply because of the fact they didn’t want to make more vegan Ramen that day and they were pushing out other people’s orders so. If you don’t like eating me, this isn’t really the restaurant for you.

Cool vibe though, good music. The front of house staff is very welcoming and a good vibe.

This location is amazing!!!!!! The service is amazing, they are courteous and have a positive attitude (the person that brought us the order was so sweet). The broth was delicious (I got the OG) and the fried gyozas with chili oil were so delicious and crispy. Thank you guys for making this experience remarkable.

What I loved most about this place was how amazingly friendly they were. The food was great(I had a vegan Ramen bowl), but the service from every single person working today was over the top! We will definitely be coming back!

Both my daughter and I had the OG and LOVED IT! Both she and I were very impressed with the service, especially regarding her allergy to mushrooms. We were asked if it was an allergy or just a taste preference. To which she responded, after asking, that the prep person would switch out gloves so to not cross contaminate. Friendly and quick service! I think we found our new go-to ramen place when we come into town.

Ramen Tatsu Ya is the benchmark for ramen in Austin. No finesse. No pretending. Just bold, rich ramen that shows up loud and confident. If you want soul warming, face sweating, slurp it like you mean it ramen, this is the spot. We love it.

Looking for a good Ramen place and I found it! Ordered the MI-SO-NOT (Tonkotsu). I did swap out the Goma Pork for the Chashu Pork and it was perfect! So very good. A must try Ramen restaurant.

I bought vegan ramen (the one without curry), and it was delicious. There are only two vegan ramen options here. The service is good and friendly. When I tried the sake and didn’t like the taste, they exchanged it for another one for free. The atmosphere in this place is pleasant; I really liked the red and white Chinese lanterns on the ceiling outside. The place is quite busy, but there’s no need to wait for a table. We were immediately seated at an available table. The portions here are quite large, and I was more than satisfied.
