I was really excited to try this place after seeing them on chow down Detroit on Facebook. I have driven by the one in Westland several times but I was working closer to the one in Livonia today and decided to order from there and pick it up on my way home from work. I was a little disappointed that my breadsticks were burnt and the cinnamon sticks looked nothing like that ones I seen in the review. My pizza however was great. I think I would like to try the one in Westland to see if I have a different experience there.

Slice of the 80’s puts all major pizza chains to shame. I always get the Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza & let me just say it’s one of the best Chicken Bacon Ranch pies Michigan has to offer. The cheese bread is always loaded with cheese! As it should be. And I just had the Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls for the first time and they were tasty! As someone who loves his Buffalo wings, I will say they could have used a little more sauce and a bit more kick to the Buffalo sauce. But other than that, a solid 7 out of 10 for a simple appetizer. But that’s alright because their pizza is all you need! I will continue to support this local Michigan business, as I have major respect for all the small pizzerias fighting against “BIG PIZZA” (major pizza chains).
Oh, almost forgot to mention they have coupons & promos you can sign up for. Just got 25% off my order. C’mon, that’s a deal!

So I have never eaten at this location on Middlebelt. I have had the pizza from the one in Westland years ago. Thought I’d give it a try since I don’t live far. When I walked in to pick up my online order the young lady servicing the counter and making food has a head full of hair and the first thing that came to my mind is I hope there is no hair in my food. She didn’t have on a hair net. Low and behold, there was hair in my food. Reddish brown hair just like hers. ♀️ I think if she is going to be in the vicinity of food she should have her hair tied back or in a hair net. I am from the old school when I worked fast food we had to have on a hair net if our hair was long or a hat.

A top tier spot for both delivery and carry out. Always great deals online and the fastest delivery. I haven’t ever had a pizza from either location that isn’t exactly perfect with the toppings perfectly spread. So much so I had to take a photo of ours today. Look at this. Why would you go anywhere else? You shouldn’t. That day at home where you don’t want to leave? Slice of the 80s got you.

I paid $19 for a pickle pizza with extra toppings. They called and were out of pickles so I asked for detroit style. What I got was a sloppily thrown together flat bread that was HALF the size of the small box. Left a support ticket on website and they gave me $7 back with no call or anything. Go to a nicer pizza store in the area, they will rob you for half a nasty meal and not to mention the grease and filth within the building. As you can see from the rest of the reviews, the owners or staff have zero positive customer service experience and are incredibly cheap. Would’ve loved to just cancel my order if given the option.

After seeing a Facebook reviewer who gave a great review of this company (not sure which location), I figured it was worth a try. Called my order in after looking them up on line (thinking they had a space to eat in, but they didn’t). On line gives you a discount I asked about getting a coupon and was told that online coupons are different and did not apply for phone in orders. I ordered the build your own: Large cheese pizza with pepperoni, pineapple, mushrooms, regular crust (not seasoned) Extra sauce, and well done.
Pizza was done in a timely fashion, the person who waited on us was pleasant even gave me a discount (what a great unexpected surprise). When I opened the box (before I left the counter) I noticed it looked like no extra sauce I mentioned it to her. She replied that it has the extra sauce. I said it doesn’t look like there is any sauce. she said she made it her self and it has extra sauce. I said my husband expects a lot of sauce and he won’t like this, can I get those little containers of extra sauce I’ll pay for them. She gave me two, that gesture went a long way. I was willing to pay for them, but she gave them to me free. Thank you for that!
My grand daughter (10 yr old) said it was good but not better than some other chain pizza (dominos) she has had. My husband said it was good but he prefers jets pizza crust.
I now see why they give you the option to pay for a seasoned crust, because regular doesn’t have much flavor. If I ever order from them again, I will not request well done (a little too dry, I don’t like crust that is doughy – under cooked). My conclusion the pizza I had was average tasting, nothing that made me feel like I will order this again (the extra sauce made it taste better). I might try one of their specialty pizza next time! So Yes the Slice of 80’s Pizza shop is worth at least a 2nd try in my opinion!

Last night we ordered pizza online, got to t by e store and paid and gave them our name. After waiting over a half hour we decided to ask how much longer it might be and found out it had been ready the whole time however we weren’t there when they called our name. I thought that they should have known when we gave our name while paying they would have got our pizza instead of letting us wait.
On top of that the pizza wasn’t even that good, not bad but not good

Excellent service and a triple mushroom pizza made by T-Rex was amazing. Not pictured here but was delicious. Super friendly, love the atmosphere. Love the 80s themed decor! Check them out if you’re passing through Westland.

Stopped in on Christmas Day. We needed something open and close by the dad’s nursing home. Was told 30minutes ended up getting his pie within 45minutes. Decent pizza. Hopefully they open on New Year’s…

Disclaimer: I didn’t eat at this place yet.
I stopped by because of the intriguing name and outside decor. It was not more intriguing from the inside. The staff was nice and answered all my questions. They don’t sell by the slice but they have a small pizza for 5$. I will be back to try it!
