I typically use the drive-thru, and the service is consistently friendly, fast, and attentive, even during busy morning hours. On the rare occasion there’s a longer line, the staff still keeps things moving efficiently, and my order is always accurate.
I’ve only been inside a handful of times, but from what I’ve seen the store is clean and has plenty of seating. Overall, this is one of the best Starbucks drive-thru locations in the area based on my experience. Reliable drinks, great service, and a well-run team keep me coming back.
I don’t mind paying tips for any service I receive at a restaurant but for a drive through order!!!!
I know this tipping thing is the norm across all Starbucks locations but it’s a dumb idea.
Tipping is justified and rightfully so at a restaurant, diner, barbershop, massage parlor, hotel house keeping, etc. Places where you’re actually receiving a service. Not for pouring some hot water in a cup which is why they’re hired and getting paid to do in the first place!
Years have passed since my original review, and unfortunately, the core issues remain unchanged at the Egg Harbor Township location. The coffee is still consistently bitter, and every cup still has grounds at the bottom.
The store has undergone a remodel, but rather than improving the experience, the new layout feels awkward and uncomfortable. It no longer feels like a welcoming place to sit and stay.
During the remodel, I learned that staff were temporarily sent to other stores. Multiple employees from neighboring locations have shared that the EHT store remains unusually inconsistent because of the volume they deal with. Staff have reportedly been trained to pour espresso shots even if they’re under-extracted. This leads to the bitter taste and leftover grounds that customers like myself continue to experience.
I’ve attempted to escalate the issue by speaking with the district manager, but no meaningful changes have been made. It is disappointing that quality seems to take a back seat to speed here, especially given the price of Starbucks products and the brand’s emphasis on consistency.
As a result, I now drive 15 minutes out of my way to Somers Point or Galloway, where the coffee tastes right every single time. Perhaps Starbucks should consider placing a strong manager from one of these consistent locations at EHT to reestablish standards. High-volume service should not mean low-quality drinks.
Customers should not have to compromise on quality or travel farther to get the Starbucks experience they know and love.

Coffee never tastes right! When every other store in the area makes my drink it tastes identical. This store the coffee tastes burnt and bold even when I get the Blonde Espresso. There is always a bunch of grounds at the bottom of the cup. You say its not right they are adamant it is. So I have to leave the store just to go to another to get my drink made right.
