There was an autograph signing event here for 49ers kicker Eddy Pineiro on Sunday, December 7. A flyer for the event was posted on the Tailgaters’ social media page, advertising that the event was from 11 am – 2 pm. I arrived at Tailgaters for the event with my girlfriend and friend at around 12:30 pm. Shortly after arriving, the Tailgaters owner came outside, pointed to the group two spots ahead of us, and said “this is the cut off point. No one behind these people in line can get anything signed by Eddy.” We and the people behind us were incredibly confused because there was an hour until the event was supposed to end, and the line was moving pretty quickly. At first, we just asked the owner why, and he said it was because Eddy had other things to do… Okay. We didn’t understand why the owner just chose a seemingly random group toward the end of the line and said “ok, everyone behind them, go home.” Since it was, remember, only around 1:00, an hour before it was supposed to end, we said to the owner, “If we wait in the line and get to the front before 2, which is when YOU said the event would go until, then can we meet Eddy and get our autograph?” He said no and told us to leave.
If the flyer about the event had said that it was first come first serve, or that only the first 100 people or something to show up would have the chance to meet him and get an autograph, then we would have planned differently and come earlier, and if we got sent away because we were too late, it would have been disappointing, but we would have understood and just gone home because that would have been our bad. Unfortunately, the flyer did not say anything like this. It said the event was from 11-2, so we came at 12:30 and were turned away even though the line was moving and we would have surely gotten to the front before 2. Again, even if we were in line and didn’t get to the front before 2, that would have been okay and we would have understood. It was the fact that we were turned away for no apparent reason. We were excited for the event and to meet Eddy and we left feeling unwelcomed, disappointing, and scammed by a false advertisement from Tailgaters.
Lastly, this rudeness and unprofessionalism from Tailgaters unfortunately makes Eddy Pineiro look bad, which isn’t fair to him. He was generous enough on his bye week to come out and do a free event like this in the east bay, because he obviously appreciates the fans. I doubt he would want his fans to be treated this way and sent away by this restaurant as a result of their false/misleading advertising.
After this, we will not be going back to Tailgaters and we will be telling all of our friends not to go there either.

The food is delicious here, my favorite has to be ummm everything. Vibe is great, food prices are reasonable for the quality. Both Brentwood & Antioch locations food is savory.

Been here a few times for different occasions. They definitely get busy during 49er games and are understaffed. Wait times are longer than usual. The Singo night they do is pretty fun and chill. Happy hour isn’t bad either.

Update:1/6/26 – Had a couple of beers and a burger and still the fried pickles. The staff remembered us from before and knew we had to stay out of house until 9pm due to girls Mexican trian nite. Great service and food.

Lived here in Brentwood for 20 years and have never gone here. Don’t know why, but went the other nite with a couple of buddies. Very cool place. Great beer selection, pretty extensive food selection including “Fried Pickles” and great friendly service.

When we’re in the mood for pub food, Tailgaters is one of our go-tos. Enjoy sitting out on the patio, although no one else sits with us out there. Other than motorcycles, it’s so enjoyable being out there not with the noise of the TVs inside. Amy and Anna were great servers!!

My family and I was going to eat here after meeting with eddy the kicker of the San Francisco 49ers. While waiting in line they kick us out. Also other niners fans still in line to meet him as well. I saw the post on IG it said 11-2. It was about 1:20 when kick us out while waiting in line. Very disappointed.

Tailgators is a great place to grab a drink and watch the game. They have really good wings and a pool table as well. If you like UFC they also show the PPV events here. Cool spot and the bartenders are always friendly and on top of it. Stop by and check it out.

Lived in the area for a year now but first time at this location, very cozy and hearty place, different from other locations that feel like a Chili’s. We went here to celebrate St. Patrick’s. Great food. Excellent service! Another go-to on my list.

Playoffs, baby! AFC/NFC championship! Room for 100’s, but just comfortably full with people. Great patrons, not too young but still plenty of excitement. I came early and had the nachos & a Modelo. The bar staff are incredibly professional and efficient Great place, thanks!
