If the owner wishes to continue to serve food, he should apply for his business to be on “Bar Rescue.” Good beer selection but it is NOT a micro brewery and was the worst meal I had in recent memory. I ordered a cheese steak with fries and french onion soup. The soup was okay. The fries were under cooked, barely warm and lacked any flavor. The cheese steak was not edible and had absolutely no flavor. However, it did have a smell that was not disgusting, but it was also not adding to the experience in any good way. I paid my bill and left as soon as I finished my beer. I would say that this place would be okay to grab a beer, but anything more I would avoid.

Absolutely bottom of the barrel dining. This place was very good when we first started eating there. The menu , the service and the quality of the food has deteriorated over time. Our last experience there will be our last.
Please do not waste your money or time eating at this establishment. My chicken tender wrap consisted of small hard chunks of over cooked chicken and my husband bit into a chicken bone in his ‘boneless’ chicken sandwich. The waitress seemed disinterested when he showed her the bone and her response was ‘that’s funny … we always use that same chicken’.
The beer and wine pricing is outrageous and when you consider that the waitress disappeared leaving us alone for extended periods of time, we couldn’t even get a refill when needed.
We noticed that the restaurant and the bar have been empty the last few times we were there and that’s no surprise. We gave them a few chances to get it right again but they don’t seem interested in serving quality food anymore.

Don’t Bother. The food is below average and the service far worse. The beer tastes like they don’t clean the lines. If you do go check your bill! On my bill for two people the appetizer and one entree rang up higher than the menu price. Too bad because the historic house is a nice atmosphere. I wanted to like it, but will never be back.

We have lived in Frederick for about 2 years now and we decided to venture out, go somewhere new. I did some searching and out of all the places I could have taken my wife on our first date since we got married, I decided on something quaint, quiet, and away from the busy life that is Frederick. For one, the beer selection is phenomenal. Secondly, the wait staff is warm and friendly. And lastly, all the food we ordered was hot and delicious. We started off with with beverages and a side of their sweet potoato fries, they were excellent. My wife ordered the shrimp spaghetti bake… I heard no complaints. I myself ordered the baby back ribs, for which the meat fell off the bone. With the ribs I ordered the Mac and cheese as a side, that has been the first time in years since anyone else’s Mac and cheese has ever come close to my mothers, I was impressed. We ended up taking a lot of it home due to the very generous portions, and I can’t wait for lunch tomorrow! Everything was reasonally priced and can’t wait to visit again, our new favorite “home-away-from-home” restaurant.

This restaurant was so good! My husband and I went after spending the afternoon at Hagerstown Outlets and we so enjoyed our experience!! The food was excellent and it was such a nice laid back environment it was perfect for us! We ate in the room with the fireplace. I had the cheese steak and mac & cheese, he had the fish and chips. They have 21 beers on tap and you can do a flight. We will definitely be going back!! Great, great little restaurant!!

Family was looking for an affordable place to eat. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The place is beautiful with many diffrent restored dinning rooms with hand painted walls. The food was good. The fries and mac and cheese are seasoned and amazing. The beer cheese pretzel appetizer were also very good. My sister and I split a rack of ribs and still haf some to take home for later.

This is a great little place hidden away in Frederick. We stumbled on it a few months ago. They stayed open an extra hour for my wife and myself, as they had just started to close. The beer selection is amazing, and the food was great. We went back a few days later to have a Saturday lunch, and it was equally as good. Amazing place.

I wish there were an option between it was okay and disliked it. It wasn’t terrible, but we won’t be back. Pricey for the quality of food. Most of what we ordered, on a very slow weekend afternoon (there was our party and 1 more the whole time) was for 6 people and each of us felt underwhelmed by both the food and time it took to prepare our food. We were eager to try this place because of the outside appeal and inside appearance, but the overall taste of the food was bland. We tried several entrees with soups/chili.

Haven’t had MUCH food there yet (just some of their pretzels and beer cheese which were SUPER delish), but the atmosphere is wonderful, the mixed drinks are lovely (ask for one of the Kindred Ciders!), and they have a band called Kindred Crow that will be playing there every so often which adds an incredible ambiance!
My family did eat more of the food – bro got some of their wings which he said were some of the best buffalo wings he’d ever had. Dad got a quesadilla and it looked amazing! He said it was pretty great, too. 🙂
