In the early 1900s, working in the Salumerias of Little Italy, Pasquale “Patsy” Lancieri perfected New York Style Pizza. In 1933, he opened the city’s first Pizzeria Restaurant, establishing himself as New York’s foremost pizza baker and inspiring scores of imitators. Over 60 years later, Patsy’s Pizzerias still proudly serves his famous recipe of traditional New York Style Thin-Crust Brick Oven Pizza throughout the city and is regarded as one of New York’s Original Brick Oven Pizzerias.
Informal pizza parlor offering brick-oven pies along with salads, pastas & more.

Love love love Patsy’s pizza – of course the Patsy’s in Harlem is the most infamous but this one is just as great and for me, conveniently closer. I’ve been going to Patsy’s for years and over that time it’s only grown in popularity. As they’ve changed around the interior, there are more large booths fit for larger groups and it’s common to walk in on a Saturday evening and see the place packed with families sharing a meal. Of course known for their pizza, there’s so much more on the menu that’s terrific! Would recommend the ravioli, zucchini and eggplant chips with garlic yogurt, baked ziti – honestly, I could go on. Would definitely recommend a reservation for the busy weeknights and weekend evenings. Otherwise I would say you could expect to wait maybe 20-30 minutes if walking in at a busy time.

Such a great place to get authentic simplistic Italian food. Great music, calm environment. Beautiful decor. The veal parmigiana was amazing. Crispy, great cut, the sauce was delicious. And the star of the show, the fried zucchini and eggplant chips with garlic Greek yogurt dip. Just. Get. It. That’s it just go and eat.

I really enjoy coming to this restaurant often especially since the pizza’s really good, and it’s really cheesy. I always enjoy taking photos of the dishes that I get because I think they look really good how they serve them. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice. And also The Service. So I recommend this place if you’re just trying to dine some tasty pizza on a good evening. It’s worth every penny, at least, in my opinion.

Blonde waitress. Very strong in the face. Very strong and aggressive. Browning teeth-I asked for a knife to cut pizza, and “she” refused. Didn’t want “her” to take my food out of sight because again (of the poor hygiene i observed) and the rudeness. I wasn’t sure what was “her” particular issue but the one in Harlem is a lot better! We were just in the area. He made sure we won’t be back.

Absolutely amazing spot for lunch. A little pricey, but white table cloths, tasty food, and friendly/fast service make this place a true stand out in the neighborhood. I’ll be back for dinner!

First timer walking by. Nice large dining area and looked clean. Ordered a large cheese pizza to go. With a ten percent tip the bill was $33. I couldn’t wait to try such an expensive pie. Had to drive home first and that took about three hours. My seven year old son devoured four slices in short order! He loved it. I tried a slice heated in the microwave ( yeah, I know, but it had fresh mozzarella so I didn’t want to toss it in the oven) and it was good. I suspect that if I ate it hot, at the location, it would be a solid four star pizza. Pretty good but that price is crazy.

Definitely ask for the bread for the table, it comes warm and flaky, still nice and moist inside. Also get the arugula salad with honey…best part of the meal, so fresh and lightly sweet. We also got carbonara and penne Alla vodka with chicken. Carbonara was ok, could be more flavorful. The chicken was just thrown on top of the penne and wasn’t visually appetizing. The penne also wasn’t anything too special, nothing you couldn’t make yourself.

Winter Beer and I came here for a birthday dinner. We heard good things about the restaurant so, we decided to give it a go. When we entered the restaurant, it was pretty much empty and we were able to sit where we wanted. There was no hostess on staff so, we did have to wait a few minutes for our presence to be acknowledged.
Our waiter was fun and entertaining when he did stop by to take our orders. However, the service was very non-existent because you had to flag someone down. Even though the place was very empty, no one came to check in on you and you were left to your own devices.
WB ordered an old fashioned margherita with pepperoni ($23) and loved it. It had the perfect amount of sauce, flavor, and grease. I ordered the plain old fashioned margherita ($19) and found it to be flavorful and tasty. The sauce was a bit on the sweeter side but, I still found it to be yummy.
We ordered a chicken parmigiana($22) to share and we thought the pasta was cooked to perfection. The flavor profile hit all the right notes and was delicious. I believe they used the same sauce in both the pizza and pasta. WB ordered three vodka and club and thought they were okay.
I ordered a NY style cheesecake ($8) and Chocolate Mouse cake ($8). They were both tasty without being overly sweet.
While the food was tasty, I felt like the prices were a bit high and the service to be lacking at times. However, if i am in the area and craving pizza, I would stop by.

Came up for a MSK Sidney Kimmel appointment. Afterwards we decided to get lunch before returning home to South Jersey. Walked in and were seated right away. Service and food was amazing. Highlight of the trip. I made sure I took home my half of chicken parm sandwich and the two slices of pizza. So, to especially all the MSK alumni out there, if you’re hungry before or after appointments/tr, atment Patsy’s is a great spot to visit.

We order a family style salad for four people. There wasn’t enough dressing, so I asked for more.
He said they would have to charge us?
Crazy !
They don’t even give you bread with dinner.
WELCOME TO EATING IN NYC!
