Wonderful dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the restaurant felt warm and inviting. One thing we appreciated immediately was the atmosphere — the music was tasteful and at a comfortable volume, which made the space feel relaxed and allowed for easy conversation. That alone set it apart from many restaurants these days.
The food was outstanding and rooted in authentic Mexican cooking. These were not the usual Americanized Mexican dishes you find at many restaurants. Instead of relying heavily on onions and peppers, the dishes and sauces were layered with deep, well-balanced flavors that felt intentional and thoughtfully prepared. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and made with care — you could really sense the family traditions behind the menu.
The service was equally impressive: attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without feeling rushed. It added to the overall feeling that this restaurant truly wants guests to enjoy their experience.
Taquero is a fantastic new addition to Media’s dining scene. Between the warm atmosphere, exceptional food, and excellent service, it’s a place we’re very much looking forward to returning to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Mexican cuisine. ✨

Great experience. Taquero has a different twist on Mexican food and it is good. We had fajitas, pollo relleno and (kids) steak tacos. Everything was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice too. We’ll definitely be back.

Really enjoyed the takeout! We had the shrimp, beef and mushroom tacos, loved all of them. We also had both the salads (beet and Caesar) and thought they were great! Can’t wait to dine in since the takeout was so good!

My husband and I went for a lunch date. The staff was warm and friendly. The menu had plenty of things I wanted to try. We ordered the chicken tortilla soup, birria tacos, and nachos. All of the food was delicious! I was too full to order dessert, but the options looked amazing! We definitely plan to come back!

Amazing new Mexican restaurant! The owners are incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious. We had elotes and queso fundido to start, both were delicious. I ordered the shrimp with rice and tacos de hongos, and they were outstanding. The menu is very diverse with seafood, chicken, beef, pork, and vegetarian options. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. The place is cozy and welcoming. Definitely coming back!!

Seated immediately and the staff were friendly and attentive. Started with the guac and for entrees we had the enchiladas and steak birria tacos. Everything was very good, and can’t beat a BYOB establishment. We will be back.

One of the newest restaurants in Media this place has authentic Mexican flavors and is also a BYOT with mixer options. When you come in you are greeting by a kind hostess and see a very small seating area with an open view to the kitchen. The main seating is upstairs and it is a typical dining room set with candles and a traditional silverware and fabric napkin. There was classical and Hispanic inspired music playing. The food is the star of the show here and there is no hiding it. The servers were very kind and constantly refilled our water. The waiter kind and commutative as we waited. We were brought chips and salsa which were extremely addictive and you could tell everything was so fresh. We especially enjoyed the salsa verde thought the entire meal. It was EXCEPTIONALLY fresh and had a beautiful zing to it. The menu ranges from traditional smaller Mexican plates and tacos to more full meals like paella and a Molcajete filled with steak shrimp chorizo etc. to build your own tacos (the item we heard everyone around us talking about!). We ordered the Sopesitos to start as I am a massive fan of anything chicken tinga. As expected it was delicious and my partner and I found ourselves splitting the last one looking for the larger half! We then ordered the Birria and the Arrechera Tacos. The consomé that came with the Birria with rich, deep and full of flavor. The salsa taquera was a unique addition and I found my self dipping the Birria in both heavily. The Arrechera was delicious and came packed with steak and just the right amount of onions and nopalitos (cactus). The waiter also offered to refill our chips and salsa and we continued to snack! They have a dessert menu but unfortunately we didn’t try it this time. Will absolutely be back to try the dessert, and will have a bottle of tequila in hand for the mixers. PS. The tiny molcajete that came with the tacos was adorable and added to the presentation.

This has been one of my new favorite restaurants and food I have tried in media. Started with chips then had the beet salad and empanadas! 100/10 food. My server David was also incredible and knowledgeable when it came to recommendations. Thanks for making my first meal here so enjoyable!

Really great date night dinner with my wife here. Birria tacos, grilled Cesar salad, homemade guac and tampiquena were all delicious and beautifully presented. Servers were attentive and friendly. We brought a bottle of tequila (BYOT) for their delicious blood orange margarita mix. We’ll be back, thank you!
