Some of the best Mexican food you can find in saint louis. Every dish I’ve had has been exceptional. The drinks are good enough to just go for them alone. I solo dine here, and the atmosphere is unmatched. I would like to pass along a pro tip that was given to me and changed my life: Add caramelized jalapeños to the carne asado tacos! Amazing, attentive, and friendly service by the entire staff. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Milagro Azteca on Southwest Ave is a true hidden gem! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite — from the perfectly seasoned meats to the delicious sides and sauces.

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was right with our order. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual meal or takeout.

If you’re in St. Louis and craving authentic Mexican food done right, Milagro Azteca is definitely worth stopping by. I’ll absolutely be back!

This place never disappoints. Slightly upscale Mexican food with a chill vibe. Always get the ceviche and anything with a pepper.

Amazing Mexican on the hill. House made chips are awesome. And they are even open in the snow! Highly recommended.

Great Dining experience! We were a little hesitant since I had heard mixed reviews and every restaurant on the hill had an hour wait. But we were under a time constraint to eat dinner. Naz was our server and she was exceptional! Understanding that we needed to eat relatively quickly. She was hospitable, friendly, and attentive. The food was fabulous! And the atmosphere is eclectic….very enjoyable experience!

Everything is made fresh, so it might take a bit of time for your orders to come out depending on how many people are there, but it was farily quick, and everything was on point. My server was patient and helpful, and I can be a lot trying to stay within my healthy eating range, and she was more than patient and willing to help, which is always a plus. They have a nice patio seating section outside, perfect for vibes and a kids menu, so the whole family can enjoy. Unique dishes with this kind of atmosphere and service…. Yeah, it’s most definitely a must try. Stay making memories and catching vibes. That life. You know the vibes

I’ve been to El Milagro Azteca several times before and even had a phenomenal salmon dish once upon a time… but sadly, this last visit is where the milagro (miracle) ran out. If I could give negative stars, I would. (-50 to be exact.)

We started with the guacamole… and whoever was in that kitchen KNEW that avocado had seen better days. Yet they still smashed it and served it like they didn’t just commit a culinary crime. Bold choice.
Whoever was in that kitchen KNEW that avocado had expired dreams.

If the cook didn’t know the avocado was bad… well, they probably shouldn’t be working in a Mexican restaurant kitchen. Harsh? Maybe. Accurate? Absolutely.

The fajitas were okay — not bad, not great, just “meh.” I had to beg for lime to squeeze over my non-sizzling fajitas and got three sad little slivers (I should’ve taken a picture for proof ).
My sister enjoyed her quesadillas and skinny margarita, but the trauma of the “guac” overshadowed it all. ‍ ️

I wanted to love this place, I really did. But thanks to that tragic bowl of expired guacamole, this was my last visit.

Hasta nunca, guacamole.

My friend got the birria tacos and raved about them. I got the enchiladas suizas and loved them. It was unusual because they had pork and I’m used to chicken in that kind of dish but it worked. The cheese sauce was outstanding.

I wasn’t wild about their house margarita but honestly who cares.

Our server was super nice and the patio is spacious and lovely.

For my partner and I (two entrees, one happy hour marg) + 22% tip was $55.

I was pretty impressed. The food was fresh and well prepared, varied menu, solid service, and nice vibe. Of course the patio with parasol is there from the days when this was Harry’s. It will be great to sip a cool one come Spring time. Don’t forget the dessert menu!

A large group of my family enjoyed a wonderful dinner at El Milagro Azteca. My grandson did the research and picked this place based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. The service was great. In spite of the large group of about 14 of us, there were no mixups and the wait staff was courteous and friendly. The food came out quickly and everything was well prepared. What attracted me first off were the birria tacos, which you can’t get at most Mexican restaurants. I will definitely return.

I need to add that the chips and salsa were excellent—thin and a generous amount of cilantro in the salsa.
