The food was pretty dang decent, but like others pointed out, the drinks were watery at best. We tried two different cocktail and while the flavor was good, they were definitely weak. It might be good to return and sample some of the other foods, but skip the drinks next time.

Nice view. Very good food, . . . except.
The drinks were very weak or watered down and flavorless, and there was not enough pasta in the seafood linguini (maybe that’s a good thing???). I quite literally ran out of pasta before the seafood by a long shot.
I had an espresso martini that didn’t taste like coffee at all, and there was very weak or little vodka. It tasted more like a cold hot chocolate. The other specialty drink from the menu (I don’t know which one was ordered ) was also weak and watered down. We didn’t complain because our server was very nice. Needless to say, our next drinks were beer and wine.
The music was nice and came from some Yamaha speakers that I have other experience with. A good sounding system.
Our server was very thorough and on top of her game. Subtleties in her performance were noted by me as being rather refined. I don’t remember her name, but she was very good.
Yes, the hot chili oil is outstanding.

We had a wonderful dinner at Moqueca! The view is a perfect 10, the environment is warm and inviting, and the caipirinhas were spot on. The food was absolutely delicious: full of flavor and cooked perfectly. I came specifically for the sea bass and shrimp moqueca, but our order came out with just the sea bass. Even though it wasn’t exactly what I had asked for, it was so tasty that I didn’t mind. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, although she did mix up the flavor of my caipirinha as well. Despite those small details, the overall experience was fantastic, and I would definitely come back!

We had a nice dinner here during our stay in 0xnard. The food was flavorful & our server was very nice! For appetizers, the beef empanadas were really great! We also got the Coxinhas which are a potato puff stuffed with a chicken mixture. I thought they were just ok, not as flavorful as the empanadas. For dinner, we got the Bolagnase which was pretty good and the large shrimp Moquacas. The Moquacas were delicious, hot and a bit spicy and very flavorful. My only complaint is not enough rice was served with it. Rice is super cheap, give more as there is so much sauce, it needs more rice please! We got the flan as desert. It was perfectly caramelized and great flavor. For $14 though it was too small. Definitely check this place out if you’re visiting Oxnard.

Wife loved the feijoada, meat skewers were delicious . The location was great and we enjoyed being able to watch the harbor. The only downside is maybe it was a little pricey for what we got. But again it was delicious and reminded my wife of her time in Brazil.

Place was horrible. Nobody came to greet us. There was literally nobody at the entrance. We waited there for a long time, one of us had to go search for the person to seat us. They had this very large group drinking, being loud, and it wasnt a family restaurant at all. The waitress was non-existant. Literally one large table, another small table, and us. The large table took over the entire restaurant. We didnt feel welcome at all. It looks like a place to go drink and be an alcoholic. Dont come here if you want a nice meal, come here to be an alcoholic. Horrible experience!

Very welcoming staff. We were greeted by the friendly Brazilian owner who went through the menu with us. Traditional dishes from Espírito Santo with seafood and lots of cilantro. Stroganoff was nice, but the original recipe doesn’t have olives 😉

Food is always good and the drinks are potent. The seabass com mariscos moqueca wasn’t my favorite but it was very good. The mariscos moqueca is probably my favorite. The feijoada was also very good. Beautiful views of the harbor and great caipirinhas rounded out a very enjoyable lunch (Saturday and Sunday only for lunch). We’ll be back.
