My mom and I were looking for a place to eat brunch on Mothers Day, and came across this place.
The food was delicious.
We both had the JG²..yum! (I expected something slightly larger for the price we paid–the only reason it is getting 4 stars)
Atmosphere was cute
Staff was friendly.
This would make a great place to go with friends for a morning coffee/waffle get together.

Parking…it’s downtown Vancouver, so it’s a hit and miss if you’ll get a good parking spot. We went on a Sunday, so we were fine and didn’t have to pay for parking.

I had the JG squared which was delicious and refreshing with the whipped cream and lemon curd. The blueberries were so fresh. The waffle was recommended by the staff member Kyle and Heather made a great cup of coffee, both of them were incredibly friendly. I will ’10 for 10′ eat here again when I am in town from Texas!

This place is mediocre at best.

I got the Swanson Sammy. The waffles were not even slightly crispy and the bacon, egg, and sausage patty were all just heat and serve processed garbage. It had very little flavor.

It makes it hard to go back as I would be worried that whatever I order is going to be the same TV dinner quality ingredients.

There are much better places to go.

We needed to stop somewhere for a quick bite and decided on Syrup Trap this morning. This was actually my second time here, but a first for my husband. He loves anything sweet for breakfast so I figured he would like some of the menu items here. When we got there, it was about 1pm or so. There were 3 different tables of other customers when we arrived. Not that busy. We ordered a sandwich and a plate of waffles with Nutella. My husband loved the mojo jojo and devoured all of it. My sandwich was just okay. The waffle was really dry and overcooked in my opinion. It was not that soft when I was biting in to the sandwich. Establishment was cute and small. It’s a buss your own table type of place located in downtown Vancouver so it’s all street parking.

Not worth the hype. IHOP is better. Customer service needs improvement and so does the prices for the quality of food & service provided. I’ve been there 4 times with hopes of something better each time but I won’t ever go back & wouldn’t miss them as a business if they moved or quit.

Waffles are reheated, they’re hard and cold upon arrival, they offer precooked bacon as a side, foamy, and slightly burnt. 4 employees to just stand around and serve precooked food. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Seating inside, a few tables outside. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. If they don’t have quite what you want on the menu, let them know, and they’ll help you build what you want.
I thought the food was good, but I obviously eat too much…I was still hungry. Ha! I didn’t order more because I wanted something a little heavier.
This would be a nice spot for a few friends to catch up…order more than one and do some sampling with each other.
Cute, clean, good!

Cute place with tasty waffles and coffee. The staff was friendly and the service was pretty quick.

I love that there are savory options and sweet options. The Parks & Rec references definitely make me want to bingewatch the entire show again.

Due to sleepy lazy Sunday reasons we did not have breakfast this morning and came here during lunchtime.
We ended up getting two savory waffles and one sweet waffle. They were all really good. The Swanson did come a little smaller than expected, but it was great taste wise. The Audrey was savory and delicious, the goat cheese was perfect and not too goat-y.
Unfortunately the Leslie Knope was out of season, so we got the JG2 instead. The lemon and blueberries made it taste very fresh and ‘healthy’ (as far as waffles can be healthy), I personally also appreciated that the whipped cream on this waffle was not overly sweet.
Despite getting 1.5 waffle each we did not feel like our stomachs were about to explode, which we did actually expect, but that’s on us for skipping breakfast.

Would definitely recommend going here! Great waffles and nice alternatives for people that are not too much in to sugar and sweets.

Incredible waffles (as you can see by the before/after pics, haha), and one of the best chai lattes I have had. Sometimes I feel you get a bit more latte/milk flavor than you get a sweetened spicy chai, but this was a really well-crafted drink! I had a bit of my friend’s less topping-covered waffle to see how it was flavor-wise, and it was great.

The seating area is a bit cozy, so it’s a little harder to hear so I knocked off a star for Atmosphere – but it’s a casual upbeat spot where you’re probably more interested in the plate in front of you. Really friendly service and a great treat spot!
