I absolutely love this place!! Not only is the quality of wine stellar, but the owner, Char, is beyond amazing. She’s extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and really makes you feel educated as you enjoy your time there. You can buy wine there by the bottle, join the wine club, and feel like home while doing it. I highly recommend!

Cellar 406 is the kind of place you walk into and immediately feel like you have stepped out of the noise for a while. No pressure. No fuss. Just good wine and good people.
The owner was absolutely wonderful. Easy to talk to. She clearly knows her stuff but doesn’t makes a show of it. We talked wine for a bit with no sales pitch, just an honest conversation. She shared two of her personal favorites with me. One of them ended up being one of the best wines I have ever had. It is now in my top ten and somehow still under thirty bucks.
And uhhh, can we talk about the dog? One of the sweetest. Calm and friendly with a kind demeanor. The kind of dog that quietly makes the room feel better by just being there.
The shop itself is inviting and well put together. It has a relaxed charm that makes you want to stay longer. It is also a great place to get some work done. You can catch up on emails over a glass of wine or come in with a coffee from across the street and knock out a few things while chatting about wine (if the moment calls for it).

So I don’t know what these recent one star reviews are about… Someone clearly holds a grudge and this is a horrible thing to do to a local independent wine shop who relies on reviews for their marketing effort.
I visited the shop earlier today for wine tasting and had nothing but good experience from the owner, who not only suggested great wine choices and had a personable conversation about my kids. Cooper’s hawk is decent but only small businesses care, remember that folks.

The owner is friendly and goes out of her way to help you have a good experience. Nice chill place to spend an hour or two or pick up a bottle to take home. By the way, the dog no longer seems to be on the premises but in the past I played with the dog. The dog is a sweetie.
