Hana and Kayle did an amazing job taking care of us and serving fabulous food. The spicy chili is especially good and the prices are very reasonable, not to mention the comfortable tavern vibe makes for a friendly community feeling. Excellent casual comfort food just across from NC State, absolutely a favorite place to eat/drink in Raleigh!

It’s not what it used to be! The food at lunch with the professors was kinda mediocre but an evening visit on another day with a colleague around 8 pm was mostly about college students and underage toxic environment. The bartender was literally taking a shot behind the bar. Do not recommend!!!

I’ve been going to this place for decades and it never disappoints. Climb the stairs and you’ll find a wonderfully quaint bar and restaurant. Mitch’s is a well worn neighborhood favorite on Hillsborough St across from NC State. Go early if you want a seat during football and basketball season because the Wolf Pack Pride runs strong here. Do with daily specials, you’ll have no reason not to enjoy Mitch’s at least once a week

We haven’t been to Mitch’s since pre-COVID. And actually we avoid this area when NCSU classes are in. But it was great to be back. The place is so cozie in the winter and the food is great. Today NC State was playing a bowl game so there were a lot of tables there to watch the game. It was a fun atmosphere. If you haven’t been, you should go once just for the fun of it… I am sure you will be back.

Wow. This place is something out of a magical story book. It is like seeing periods of time all in one place. It has a amazing atmosphere and the food is not your everyday average run of the mill menu food. Everything has had rime and thought put into it. The food was amazing and different. I was in a weird mood when I went here. I wasn’t wanting any type of fast food. But this was good home cooked food fast and friendly. We had the fried green tomato worth pimiento cheese sandwich and a London broil sandwich. They both were great. The bread was a almost sour dough roll with home made sauces not just mayonnaise slapped on. And to look around this place you can see the years like layers of a onion. I will be back and if for nothing more just to say you seen it with your own eyes once is worth the trip.

My brother and I arrived shortly after opening sat morning trying to kill some time before the game while our wives went shopping. We were quickly greeted at the bar by Conor and Kayleigh and served with a few drinks. The place was already starting to amp up, as it continued to pick up We still never saw the bottom of our glasses. Bartenders had great personalities and were very easy to get along with. Our family showed up about an hour later and we decided to eat there as well. It’s bar food, nothing crazy, but was pretty good nonetheless. I will definitely return, if for nothing else, because of the amazing service from Conor & Kayleigh, top-notch!

My favorite place in Raleigh and my weekly tradition. Wonderfully prepared fresh/local food with prices that haven’t changed since the 80s. Chilli, salads, stews, sandwiches…so delicious! Great service! Tip them well, they deserve the business.

Kaley, Hanna, Eli, Connor are the best servers and personality I’ve had at a bar. They are incredibly sweet, personable, and make coming back an easy choice, for every time I come back I always have a blast and feel at home.

This place is the best. I come here a lot to watch sporting events and the crowds during NC State games are so fun. If you can’t make it to the game in person, go to Mitch’s.

The food and drinks are solid and really reasonably priced, especially by Hillsborough standards.

I also always bring my parents here whenever they visit. This place is THE NC State bar, but it’s not a sloppy college dive bar.
